Big Bang's Seungri comments on EXO

Big Bang's Seungri, who recently made his comeback with "Gotta Talk to You", had some things to say about his hoobae group EXO.

On the latest MBC FM4U's 'Kim Shin Young's Song of Hope at Noon', Seungri brought up EXO. He said, "I shared a waiting room with EXO once, and they were all catnapping. They're probably busy these days, and I wondered if they were sleeping and eating well. I wanted to at least cover them with a blanket."

Seungri continued, "It's been 8 years since I've debuted. The EXO members are quite young and handsome. It makes me wonder if our sunbaes thought the same of us when they first saw us."

Seungri : During Bigbang survival documentary, I was afraid of what people would say if I don’t make it to Bigbang after bragging about going into YG. It was like Superstar K, Kpop Star of that time.
Being alone at that young age, with no friends or family in Seoul. I would sleep in the train stations or at spas. I was thankful when I got cut first because it was so hard. I got into YG, but then I got cut from Bigbang. I didn’t have any friends to talk about my troubles and worries with so I talked to myself saying, “Seungri, you’re the best”. I had no one to learn from, so I worked with some female trainees, 2NE1’s Park Bom helped me with some English as well.
When I came to Seoul, I brought 100000 won with me, but there was an old man in the station who said he lost his wallet and asked me for 40000 and I gave him. The taxi driver cheated me when I wanted to go to Hongdae because I had an accent. It cost me 50000 won."

Panda is 22...Big Bang has been around for 7 years...and he did that Battle Shinhwa thing first so 8/9 years in the industry...

And it's still kind of common in kpop for the maknaes to be 15/16

I still remember how shocking EXO's older ages were comparatively for a SM debut.

I wasn't into kpop at Shinee's debut but I still cannot believe how young they were, nor can I believe that (I think?) some of EXO is older than them O.O Personally I think the EXO ages were the most debut-appropriate but I concede that the alternative is probably more marketable.

I love how he always seems to look out for the rookies and trainees. The new crop at YG also say how out of everyone at the company, Seungri is the nicest to them. Given that he got cut from Shinwa Battle, and then (briefly) from Big Bang, he understands the most how awful the fear and uncertainty of the future can be.
