Fans of Block B, you're in store for some good news as the group is getting to step back into the spotlight!
As you know, the boys have been missing from the public eye ever since the lawsuit between the group and their former agency Stardom. Since then, the two sides have been trying to work out their issues, and after consistent discussions and negotiations, they've resolved their differences and have worked out a plan for Block B to resume their activities.
Through the negotiation agreed to by both sides, Stardom has helped work out an understanding with a new management company set up, Seven Seasons, and has transferred over the boys' exclusive contracts to this new management.
Despite handing over Block B's management to Seven Seasons, according to reps, Stardom will continue to support and cheer on the activities of Block B.
Seven Seasons stated, "We will do our best so that Block B, who has spent a difficult time for a while, will be able to step foot back into the music industry and have their talents shine. In addition, we want to thank all the fans who continued to have faith in Block B, and we will make sure to pay you back for your trust."
There hasn't been any specific comeback details announced as of yet, so be on the lookout for Block B's future activities!
allkpop,
On August 29, Block B have finally come to an agreement with their agency after their conflict in January where the group filed an injunction for the termination of their exclusive contract.
After the dismissal of their injunction application in June, Block B had maintained constant discussion and negotiations with Stardom. They have have settled all conflicts and found a way to resume their activities.
Following their shocking agreement, Stardom has worked with a newly established management company, Seven Seasons for two months with conditions and have transferred the exclusive rights to them.
Stardom says about this big deal, "We are very pleased for the members and agency, and we will wholeheartedly support Block B's activities."
Seven Seasons said, "We will do everything we can so that Block B, who have had such a difficult time, can step into the music industry again and show their talents. We thank all the fans who have stuck by Block B until the end by believing in them and supporting them. We will surely replay that trust."
As Block B and Stardom's conflict comes to an end, their next step gathers attention.

Date: 2013-08-29 12:35 am (UTC)Although it's good to hear they wish to continue as "Block B", and that they get to keep the name, this raises a lot of questions imo: Is 7S a subsidiary of Stardom? If not, who is their financial backer? What about all the trainees at Stardom?

Date: 2013-08-29 12:41 am (UTC)I honestly think it's shady as well, but if it was negotiated between both parties as mentioned in the article, it might just be that Stardom was feeling the pressure from negative reactions, their other money issue, and training their new group, and just decided to give in.
Stardom is currently preparing Topp Dogg for debut, and still houses Evol and LeeU, among other artists.

Date: 2013-08-29 01:27 am (UTC)I hope this means they get to resume activities and making music, but most of the members dropped off the face of kpop and only lived by the occasional tweet so hopefully they want to be back as Block B as well.
Oh, and my anticipation for U-kwon is massive since he's declined to exist during this time. He better have been working on his dancing like BBomb

Date: 2013-08-29 07:21 am (UTC)I'm going to be optimistic about this and assume Stardom needs positive rep to keep existing and putting artists out.
I'm glad they kept their name.
KEEPING FINGERS CROSSED FOR NEW STUFF BEFORE 2013 ENDS.

Date: 2013-08-29 09:20 am (UTC)I'm so happy they stuck through this together, I hope this means they still get to keep their attitude and music style!
So technically Stardom's going to keep 'an eye on them' I guess? Or maybe the lawsuit was dragging too long and the boys weren't backing down so 7S had to be created?
WHATEVER IT IS, BRING THESE BABIES BACK

Date: 2013-08-29 01:27 pm (UTC)BUT! I reserve some of this joy for when I finally see the MV, the album and the 7 of them performing again on stage. I've waited for a year and I don't mind waiting a bit more for their comeback now that they have a new agency,, so there's no need for a rushed comeback.
I hope this time it goes well for them, they are bunch of talented idiots who deserves more luck <3
