The Sombrero, the wonder girls and DA JYP

Thursday July 30th 2009 One of the guys from JYPE USA staff RainstonePD uploaded a picture from their hotel on his twitter. As soon as I recognized the hotel I took my keys, their gifts (mexican candies and a little jewelry box) and drove straight to the hotel. I missed them since someone from the hotel told me they went to grab some tacos. I was going to walk to the restaurant that is a couple blocks away but it started raining (WTF it NEVER rains here). So I decided to sit down and wait for them and them JYP arrived in a private taxi with one of the guys from his team. I yelled at him and he was surprised, I was so nervous and I couldnt even turn on the camera on my cellphone. He was surpised to see that I have a picture of NichKhun as my wallpaper. So the other guy took the pic and I told JYP that I have a gift for him but that he will have to wait until tomorrow. I waited and then the whole JYPE USA staff waited outside for a cab. My sister’s friend started asking them questions… They asked one of the girls if she was a wonder girl and they asked if they could take a pic with one of the guys because he was good looking and they thought he was famous. They all got in the cars and they went for dinner. I waited some more and then one of the guys from the hotel told me that the “five tiny and pretty asian girls” asked for a van and that they were on their way back to the hotel. So the van arrived and all the JB fans ran to the van. Sohee, Sunmi and Sunye got into the hotel pretty fast. I was only able to take a pic of Sohee but not talk to her.



But I was able to yell ‘Yoobin I have gifts for you and the girls” so she received all the gifts and I asked her if she liked the tacos. She said “yeah they were really good” And I asked for a pic of her, and a pic with me and then with my sis. Ye Eun on the meantime talked a little bit with the JB fans and maybe took some pics with them. The JB fans were surrounding her so I was unable to get a pic or say hello.



I also dont think I need to repeat how gorgeous they are and how tiny yoobin is. She is NOWHERE near fat, for some reason she looks bigger in pictures but she is around the other girls weight.

Friday July 31st 2009

I arrived early and met all the fan*tactics and the girls from a mexican kpop/jpop forum (I made the video with them so I knew them already). Some danced to nobody and we waited until the people from the 3pm concert came out. Some of the girls (JB fans) said that they loved the girls and there were girls that even danced and sang the nobody chorus. It was a sunny and super hot day and I swear I did sweat more than in the gym.

Silvia from JYPE emailed us early that saying telling us that the girls were performing on the 3pm and 7:30pm shows and that we would meet the girls at 7:45. She came out and after video recording all the wonder girls fans and a couple of long blackberry sessions she told us we could all meet the wonder girls. We were more than 100 people.

Sadly when we were all inside the building the mexican staff started yelling at us to be quiet, stay in line, etc. Then when we arrived to the room where the wonder girls and JYPE USA staff was there was and american guard that told us we were not allowed to: take pics, bring pens, bring cameras, nor cellphones, basically we were supposed to leave our things outside. Everyone got mad, because that not what they promised us. How could we keep this precious memory without a camera? We told the mexican staff and the american guard that it didnt make any sense. RainstonePD came out and people talked to him and then the american guard told us 1 camera per 5 people. We entered the room with the wonder girls in groups of five. I talked to RainstonePD while he handed us the new wonder girls flyers by verizon (seems like they are being sponsored by verizon so the new flyers dont promote iTunes). I told RainstonePD that I met his yesterday at the hotel and that my sister's friends took pictures of him and with him (they thought he was good looking therefore famous).

When I entered the room the wonder girls, JYP and his staff were surprised by the big mexican sombrero. I handed it to JYP and told him that was his present and that he had to take pics and upload them on twitter, the wonder girls all said he had to. Then I got my picture taken with the wondergirls and other 4 fans. I was next to Sohee and Sunye and after the pic I handed the mexican flowers to them (those flowers are made out of corn leaves dyed, and they will never die just like my love for the wonder girls) they all thanked me and the mexican staff kicked me out of the room.

I was so sad because I gave them the gifts and was unable to take pictures with each one of them, plus the mexican staff and that american guy were rude. He even complained about us talking in spanish between us. (SRSLY WTF?!? I CAN SPEAK SPANISH IN MEXICO, ITS NOT MY FAULT HE ONLY TALKS IN ENGLISH, PLUS HE WAS RUDE AND THOUGHT WE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND HIM. I HAD TO LET THAT GO ONLY BECAUSE I WAS ABOUT TO MEET THE WG.)

So I dont blame JYPE for what happened but maybe if they had hired a spanish/english translator that could help them control the situation. I really think they were not expecting to meet like 100 mexican fans and Im glad they took the time to take pics with all of them. Plus because we were so many people local and national tv reported came to us and asked us about the wonder girls. Lets see if they come out in the news tomorrow.

As soon as I got here I complained to JYP about what happened. He totally deleted my post from his twitpic but he sent me a DM apologizing about what happened. I am also really sorry that I probably overreacted but seriously I feel like we were not treated the same way the american fans were. Thats kinda unfair but I dont blame JYPE for that. I hope they enjoyed Mexico and that they come back soon.

Other Interesting things:

~Because of that stupid american guard some people were unable to give their gifts to the wonder girls. Its really sad since they worked so hard on them.

~One girl groped molested JYP. She said and I quote "he has such a nice tight ass"

~The sombrero was soo hard to get (since they are mostly used in sept. for our independence day parties). It took me a whole day to find it and it was supper hot and sunny. But it was totally worth to expose myself to skin cancer since they loved ~ DA SOMBRERO~ and all international fans that posted on JYP's twitter loved it too. Some even think he should lend it to 2PM!!! LMAO

I know their going to be in Phoenix...in like 2 weeks for the concert, but sadly I can't go because my dad's having surgery next week, and I can't afford to go anyways. >< Thats ok though, I know someone whose going and that'll be enough...well that and I'm going to KMF/HB 2010 so thats what I'm really looking forward to. xD

Hope your dad's surgery goes well!!! if its ok may I ask what kind of surgery is he getting?

My dad has been in and out the hospital since dec '08. Mostly in the hospital and its been so stressful. He had 3 brain surgeries and 1 lung biopsy. Right now he is in the hospital and who knows when is he coming out but he gave me permission to go since it was a once in a life time chance. Plus he cannot move since he has like no mucles at all so its not like something realy bad happen to him now.

Things worked different here than in the states. Since there is a private company that paid for the JB to stop in Mexico.

Because they couldnt call us because I quote "differences in time zones" *coughstheydidntwanttopaylongdistancecalls* they send us emails. They told us the girls were going to teach the nobody dance like they have done and that they would contact us by twitter but they didnt.

I dont think that was their fault, I guess things are different depending on the country. And my city has a "we are a first world/developed city in a third world contry/developing country" complex. So a lot of people think we are snobby and bitchy D:
