I love how she dodges bullets-like questions. She looks so beautiful here. To be honest I don't know why that scene makes people uncomfortable, it's just variety, I know its not we got married and they are not forced to do this kind of stuff, but lately it feels like the PDs are trying to force a lot of Monday Couple moments... Also, after that she goes directly to choke Gary, so she is still 'herself'.
It's not just variety though, Monday Couple shippers are crazy. Watching it, she clearly didn't want to do it and it made me uncomfortable to see her like that. I think there's a limit to what Ji Hyo's comfortable with regarding MC and that was crossing the line. That just means she's professional not that she was ok with it. I like MC when it happens naturally but I'm not here for those forced moments.
I get what you mean but I really hate how the blame is always put on Gary. Like when in the same episode, they drink from the same cup of coffee, Jihyo herself brang two straws... Maybe because I've seen this kind of stuff on WGM I just don't think it's a big deal for them. Anyways, if it was, props to KwangSoo for wanting to have Haha as well and saving the moment. For the airport scene I do "~blame" him for that since he was the one who did the pushing. He's the one pressuring her to eat the cracker and it seemed to me like he's also the one who wanted the 2 straws since she initially didn't put hers in. For that it was all him and he kept going when she didn't want to do it.
Yeah I find that really annoying too. Like Gary is this guy harassing Ji Hyo who is repulsed by him or something but because she's so nice and professional she can't say anything about it. Or how MC was brought back because supposedly Gary only has Ji Hyo & MC on Running Man while Ji Hyo is so great with her Ace character. I mean come on. I love Ji Hyo but she's the one who benefits more from MC because truthfully she doesn't do that much. She doesn't speak up or joke on her own she usually needs someone else. I often complain about the lack of screen time she gets but honestly that's also her "fault".
Conclusion, MC shippers and the Ji Hyo-biased MC haters are equally annoying.

Like when they said Gary wanted to stop casting in Running Man just because Jihyo has a boyfriend. Sorry, that's insulting. I've been fan of Leessang since my interest for Korea started and I always liked Gary. I like the fact that he is known now, but its like some people just know the Running Man Gary. And they say so many disgusting things. For people who don't know Leessang and read that kind of comments, they would think he is a douchebag, they damage his image *sighs*. He is an amazing lyricist and that makes me think he is far from being a douchebag, and I might be wrong but at least, his stage persoona is not. Also, they seriously think if he was/is in love with her he would show it on TV for more than 3 years so we can pity him and see how much of a loser he is? I would love those people to stop tagging his name on those posts because I hate seeing them.

yeah, the hate against Gary by Jihyo stans is one of the reasons why I semi-quit watching running man.
When I first started watching this show, JiHyo and Jongkook were my faves because they were the two who always gave 100% on all the missions as opposed to taking it easy or body gags, but slowly Jihyo's hardcore stan-dom made me not only dislike watching but actually made me dislike JiHyo (I know wtf, it should be impossible to dislike JiHyo).
I remember during the Macau special people were actually mad at Han Hye Jin for bungee jumping, saying that it was JiHyo's moment and that HyeJin was ~pathetic for trying to copy her. That and the fact that most of them simultaneously want JiHyo to pair with female guests while criticizing other female guests who ~steal screentime away from her is mind boggling.
I've seen so many posts, specifically calling Gary disgusting, a man-child, manipulative and 10 times out of 10 it's a hardcore Jihyo stan. Their attitude towards MC, actually got me to dislike the pairing too, just so I don't have to see crass comments about how much they hate it and Gary.
But at the same time I also wish that Gary and JiHyo could expand past the Monday Couple because I'd love to see more diversity with the teams.
As for me, it made me hate Monday Couple. I know that people will always talk and I that I should ignore it as much as I can. In fact, I block them so their posts don't show when I want to search something in the Leessang tag (wtf tagging Lessang). But saying that Gary is harassing her and emotionally raping her... I can't easily forget that ones, so I admit I am a bit sensitive towards the topic. Also, the thing about Jihyo being edited out. I don't really know if they do it but I don't think it's something you can blame on Gary.

Ji Hyo has her Ace character but Gary has his dark horse/underdog character too. But I agree that they have more material to work with with the MC story.
And I'm glad I don't get to see the comments that these MC stans make :)
Oh my word, she looks gorgeous here. Having her hair up really suits her. She should wear fake lashes more often too. Makes her eyes stand out nicely.
