And what about the Japanese releases ? It's quite different, Kara is one of the few k-pop group that actually does j-pop (at least, in my opinion). It's a lot more cuter than Lupin, obviously, but it's always so fun and catchy !

I'm trying to keep up with them ; I just looked at their singles from time to time, but the last releases got me really interested, and I'm really looking forward to this comeback !

Haha well I like cute stuff, and Kara's Japanese single are reeeaaally cute. Go Go Summer!, Winter Magic & Jet Coaster Love, for example. They can still have more upbeat songs like Speed Up or Jumpin' (released in Japan first, I can't get with the Korean one lol).
I don't think there are many songs standing out like in Korean discography, but overall there are nice songs and I like to play them all!

I've never liked any of Kara's songs (even though Mister's LALALA gets stuck in my head) but I really like this album. The songs all fit together without sounding repetitive.

Oh wow, I just noticed those other album covers... I think the original goes well with the sound, but the other two look so cheap

I enjoy a lot their Japanese albums ! The Korean one have a few songs I like and a lot of fillers, I think, while the Japanese albums are quite cohesive and enjoyable as a whole. I don't have as many favourite on this album than on the two previous one but, still, it's great!

I haven't liked any of their prior releases so I was pleasantly surprised with this. I must be in the right mood for jpop lol. I agree that none of the songs stick out on this album; they are all good and they go together, but no one song is spectacular.

I have tried but it doesn't really do it for me. It's a different sound than I enjoy. I like the Perfume singles and I'm curious about Level 3. I do like a lot of Japanese releases from kpop artists, though.

It took me a loooong while to like Perfume; I could never figure out what I was "missing" because everyone seems to love them! Then I heard these two songs and I could not get them out of my head. I'm not really into their concept/choreo but these are two truly catchy songs. I like the music in some of their other songs but in general I don't love their vocals. I don't keep up with jpop at all actually, I am more of a casual observer haha.

That's my plan too ^_^ maybe they will have another song we like! They have a lot of PVs on their YouTube channel but these are the two catchiest songs, in my opinion.

Maybe jpop groups aren't your thing. I'm no jpop expert and pretty much casual fan too, but maybe you would like solo artists better like Namie Amuro or Koda Kumi. I tend to like solo artists better. Daichi Miura is a good dancer, you might like him. There is a girl group that dances well called Happiness, but only 2 sing and the rest are just dancers.

Thanks for the recs! I've heard a few Koda Kumi songs but I'm not sure I liked them. I just went through ontd's jpop posts because I remembered hearing something I really liked a few months ago: it was a teaser for Namie Amuro's new album. My tastes focus more on the sound than the performance, and I generally find it difficult to take in the vocals in jpop songs, but I will check these out!
