Dara is beautiful but there's nothing special about her look, while BOM is cute in doll-like kind of way which I don't like very much. I want to see her without makeup for once :)
But I have to admit, they have better songs than any other girl group imo

I think she is insecure about her face so she puts a lot on. I remember earlier this year she did Allure magazine spread where they put less makeup and people complemented the photos. She said in the interview that she felt awkward.
Q: Sometimes you show the strong image of you in photo shoots and in stages. Due to that I think you will have times where you feel awkward. Bom: I tend to be different in that ways. However the strong image is closer to my normal image than today’s image. Usually I don’t go out unless I put my eye line on. The reason why I always check after every cut during the shoot is because I feel awkward. My mom and friends said that I was pretty in today’s image when I showed them, which was surprising. ‘Oh, so people think I’m prettier in this way,’ I thought.

Poor thing, ty for the link bb, I just read the whole interview and I think she needs to hear more compliments when she wears less makeup to raise her confidence. Make me sad that she couldn't get cosmetic endorsement like Dara but hopefully soon! Still can't believe she's much older than me! She's a member of a popular group, there's no reason for her to feel insecure at all, but idk anything bout her past and showbiz
