SONG JOONG KI SAYS GOODBYE TO FANS PRIOR TO HIS ENLISTMENT THROUGH A FAN MEETING

It's always hard to say goodbye and actor Song Joong Ki brought fans to tears during his farewell fan meeting prior to his enlistment this month.

Song Joong Ki met up with 1,000 fans during his fan meeting at the Sangmyung Art Center, Seoul on the 17th at 2 PM KST. Song Joong Ki shared, "I will go off to the army and come back well."

A representative commented, "The fan meeting was completed with a warm atmosphere. Song Joong Ki and his fans were filled with emotion and it was a memorable, happy time together."

Song Joong Ki will enlist on August 27.

LETTER TO FANS

Hello everyone, this is Joong Ki.

How are you? I am writing to you. I never do that before. I feel a bit awkward.

So if you think about after my debut until now, it was the 4th fan meeting. It seems like just yesterday I had my first fan meeting. The atmosphere was really awkward at that time but it was really nice. Do you agree? I still remember that day.

I also remember we went to the MT. During 3 days 2 nights, it rained a lot. Because of raining, I felt nervous. However, your cheerful attitude made me feel better. I was so touched (impressed). And we have our 3rd fan meeting, again. Time flies, is it?

My two years (military serve period), I believe, also flies. Well, I will go to the army. I am a bit late to go to the army so I feel awkward. But don't worry, I will be fine during the army period with my good health.

Please cheer me up. I also will think of you.
You already know I am not a talkative person although I want to tell you more.

I really thank you, my fans.

I don't know, I thought I would be more broken up over his enlistment but I am just incredibly happy to see him leave at such a good moment in his career. It has been wonderful seeing him grow these past four years and I am really proud of everything he has achieved. I can't wait to see (;D) what he has to offer after his military service!

Stanned this guy since I saw him on Triple and for a while i was worried he would forever be stuck in the shadows considering he debuted later than his peers. Im so glad for SKKS and the exposure it gave it. This man was destined for stardom and im glad he's able to establish his career before his draft.

So no RM before he leaves? Maybe when he gets back then.

I was also worried for some time because he did debut at an older age compared to other actors and I was worried that he wasn't going to get a breakthrough before the army. But I am glad about the ways things have worked out for him and I am positive he will only achieve more after his service.

NVM. Saw the video with eng subs and he didn't say that. I hope he also goes on RM before he leaves but it's not looking very possible. :(.

2 more years and Korea will cry...and so will I. Lol. But I am okay because I will have Joong Ki back by that time.

I watched OBGYN doctors for him because i coulsnt get enough.
I felt the same about Lee Min Ho when i first saw him in I Am Sam. He was always in the background and i've always thought he was too fine to forever be an extra. These were the two guys i rooted for when they were rookies and im glad they hit it big, real big.

Yup and when 1987ers come back, 1989ers gotta go (kim bum, jong suk and kim woobin) this sad vicious cycle of guys leaving for the army :(

Same, I didn't like the drama at all but I stuck through most of it just for him. Now that I think about it the only drama I have fully watched of his without skipping was Nice Guy and that's because he was the lead and I was in a mood for a melodrama. Lol.

For some reason I don't really feel as bad for the 89' line. I don't really have many favorites in that line other than Onew and he isn't an actor. I am mainly attached to the 85-87's.

Yeah, I think he went earlier this summer, I am not sure when since I don't follow him too closely. I think the reason that it is pretty rare is because most actors start out at that age. He has been a child actor for a while now so he probably thought it was better to go now and come out as a man than wait later when he is at a high point in his career. It was a really smart business move on his part though because all the netizens seem to be in love with him because of this. He is probably going to be the next Won Bin, where nobody can hate him after his discharge.
