EXO to join 'Immortal Song 2' cast

Good news for EXO fans! EXO will be joining the cast of KBS 2TV's popular music program, 'Immortal Song 2.'

Over the course of a few weeks, the boys will showcase special performances with various concepts. The first ones up on the show are Chen and Baekhyun, who have already begun filming for the show. The other members will also be present for the talk segments of the show.

The PD of the show commented, "We thought EXO could show off new facets through the various stages."

Their first appearance on the show is on August 17 - are you excited?

I kinda wish Kyungsoo was joining too, but I think Jongdae and Baekhyun have similar ranges so it'll be easier for them to choose and arrange songs.

They usually put who does the arrangements at the start of the performance, I think when Sunggyu (iirc) was on one of his performances was arranged by Yue who's worked with Infinite on their albums. Idk if they get a say in how the song is arranged though.

i'd get why they'd have baek and chen up first tho i just hope it's not some ballad with lots of high notes where they try to out-sing each other or something because as talented as they are, often times i think those two sound super screechy when they try to hit certain notes (especially baekhyun who makes me cringe when they perform baby don't cry live). and i hope they have kyungsoo next up because i think his voice has been killing it lately during this comeback.

idk if they would put luhan though... i love his voice but whenever they go to radio shows to sing live luhan never sings =/

SM has started to expose EXO to the public. After this we will start seeing them getting another opportunities as well.

This is a great opportunity for them to stretch their wings as vocalists, rather than just flashy dance idols. But I wish it was the three main vocalists appearing as fixed members with an occasional appearance from Chanyeol for performances that incorporate rap or instruments. I guess I'll have to see exactly how they go about it, but I'm not sure I'm keen on the idea of rotating members for each episode.

As it is, I have my fingers crossed for Chaneyol and D.O to pair up for an appearance. Their voices sound amazing together and I feel like they click well. If SM ever decides to go down the subunit path with EXO, they really need to do a Chansoo unit first and foremost.
