WASSUP has another teaser featuring member Nari.

stephantasm posted it in the last WASSUP post, which led me to finding the original Youtube video of the choreography that Nari is doing in the teaser. It originally came from SAEA Banyana.

dang there's no rhythm or energy in her at all. gurl's just moving and not bothering to feel the music.

tbh it's like useless to compare nari/wassup to saea banyana since the former is merely using one aspect of dancehall as a a gimmick (kpop's first 'twerking' group wtf) that probs will change after the fail of their debut while the latter is an actual dancehall group.

Everyone is correct in saying she has no energy/passion, but that's really beside the point. She's lacking in the fundamental principles of the movement. Struggling to get basic isolations down. This isn't the fuckin' electric slide. It's a style of dance with deep multicultural influences and history. This is equal to using classical ballet as a concept and dancing without ever turning-out their legs.

This 'twerking' group is bothersome in so many ways. I imagine it's not the idea of the girls, but I'm still kind of pissed off about it.

I said this before but this is some sloppy math problem dancing. Math problem dancing is horrible but sloppy is even worse she can't hear of feel the damn beat. Tragic tbh. You can get away will math problem dancing which most kpop "dancers" already do but this is just sloppy.
