6-member female group T-ara member SoYeon (22) talked about the reason why she has gave up training to be part of group So Nyeo Shi Dae.

The group made their debut on MBC Golden Fishery Radio Star on 29th July and SoYeon said, “Back then it was tiring. And I went through much hardship.” She has gave up training as part of group So Nyeo Shi Dae halfway.

When asked if she felt bad and regretful after So Nyeo Shi Dae became famous and successful, “No, I don’t feel that way. After all we have all trained together. I look at it as misfortune turned blessing.

SoYeon has been casted to trained for So Nyeo Shi Dae with 11 other members in 2005.

There've been a lot of stories about SM/YG/JYP trainees who just break down under the pressure.

It shows you those 3 companies means serious business.
But the hard work and training is worth it, seeing how most of their groups turn out super successful.

"SoYeon has been casted to trained for So Nyeo Shi Dae with 11 other members in 2005."

so initially they had 12 members in total? who were the other girls who dropped out?

There's a lot of rumored trainees that are supposed to be on SNSD, but the close ones would be Jang Hajin whom I heard left SM already and Seo Hyunjin who's actually from M.I.L.K. and participated on SM seasonal albums when M.I.L.K. disbanded. There's Lee Hwanhee as well, Sooyoung mentioned her on the 1jib's thanks to. And of course Soyeon.

And there's Stella Kim, of course.

I'm pretty happy SM stuck with the nine girls, though. A 12-member girl group would be too much for me. :|

That's interesting, they could have been almost as big as Super Junior. I kind of feel sorry for the girls who sacrificed so many years in training and didn't get to debut or transfer to another company.

it's weird, half the time they talk about sm training being so hard you want to kill yourself, and then the other half of the time, they're like, "they let you do whatever you want so it's only as difficult as you want it to be."

well soyeon is qt anyway.

Yeah, I watched Tiffany and Jessica's interview on KBS World radio, and they said it wasn't that bad. But I don't think the issue is all about easy vs. difficult. It's just that some trainees just stuck longer and fought harder to debut. IDEK. Maybe Tiffany, Jessica and the others were prepared to go through all the training and their personalities are stronger, I guess. :/

that's what i was thinking, that it wasn't necessarily sm pushing the trainees too hard, but the other trainees wanting to move at a faster pace and feeling pressured that way, i guess? i mean, jessica trained for six million years, i would think she'd be really pushy about training and wanting to finally debut lol.

I totally agree.

And Jessica seems to have a whatever kind of personality, lol. Like if they didn't put her in SNSD she'd probably be like, whatever, and she'd still be training unless her parents tell her not to.

Have someone already mentioned that she's the same batch as Kyuhyun on the Chin Chin Song Festival last 2005? D: I remember her performance before with this girl and her cheeks are quite chubby back then~

i'm glad she doesn't look back on it with regret or constantly whine and bring it up. :( i doubt the reporters will let up on it, though

I've had about enough from the media, constantly hearing about how someone was supposed to be in whichever band and how they feel about it. I hope the media won't drag the topic of SoYeon's past as an almost-SNSD member into the limelight and make it like some pity sob story. Do not want interview questions to be about her not debuting with SNSD.

Oh wait,
FAT HOPE.
