Date: 2013-07-25 08:20 pm (UTC)As for tips: if you are planning to buy merch, especially albums & posters, I'd highly suggest getting your cd shopping done ASAP! There are many places like Yesasia, Kpoptown, Kpopmart, ect. that sell cds or if you get to L.A. early, please stop by at Music Plaza or Choice music for your merch needs.
I'm still rather skeptical with how things will be handled this coming year although I expect improvements! I did the smart thing by buying my albums early as I heard horror stories about the merch booth. Not only were the lines insanely long, but a lot of albums & posters were sold out even before those with pre-orders were able to pick up their items. Those who pre-ordered should have got first dibs on everything!
Bring extra cash & HYDRATE!!! I know drinks can get expensive and drink vendors walking around the arena only accept cash! It'll be ridiculously hot that day especially in August! It's better to spend the extra money on drinks than to pass out due to hydration.
Wear sunglasses if in all possible, sunscreen on exposed areas & any sun protective stuff like hats, bandanas, ect. In other words please stay cool as possible & dress accordingly. It'll be insanely hot, even worse than last year's KCON.
Bring extra batteries for your cameras, phone, ect. If in all possible get a portable charger or bring your own phone charger with cables and stuff.
You can easily be separated from your friends and/or family during events like these and there's a likely chance your phones will go dead. Find a place somewhere for all of you to meet after the convention and/or show to all gather and meet up in case things like this happens.
Please be respectful to one another & safety is always first! I know all of us, including myself, will be really uber excited, but please get your acts together! Don't be pushing, shoving, cutting & be overly excited that aggression gets the best of you. This especially applies during the artists' panels and the concert. The last thing we need is another fan or more to be injured to the point where KCON has to change things up at the last minute to abide to safety issues.
I know VIP (1 & 2) will have dibs over the autograph session and/or high touch. Again I'm still rather skeptical on how things will even be kept in order, especially with VIP and handling the meet & greets in general. Hopefully with everyone's cooperation & improving on keeping things in order, the meet & greets during the artists' panel will be 100x better than last year!
Most of all have fun! ^^
If there's anything to add, please feel free to comment here! ^^

Date: 2013-07-25 10:14 pm (UTC)Last year KCON had the golden ticket contest where a golden ticket was placed with a random merch. The winners get a chance to have their photos taken with the artists (mainly B.A.P, EXO-M & 4-Minute). There were only a few tickets hidden in a merch. I dunno if they'll have it this year.
All of the pre-orders should be on KCON's website. I dunno if it's up & running or not. I haven't checked yet.
Of course you're welcome! I'm glad I could help you out! ^^

Date: 2013-07-26 08:29 pm (UTC)Yeah VIP2 gets scratchcards for high touch, red carpet, and artist session, but they're all win/lose ;_; Thanks for the luck though :)
YOUR ICON IS FLAWLESS. When
not ifyou see him in person please give him extra love for meeee.Half of me is really hoping that I get a bunch of luck and get something to see Exo, but half of me just wants to avoid all those fans :| Maybe I'm just pessimistic but I'm pretty sure something like that will happen no matter what x.x
Awwww I wish we would get scratchcards earlier so that we can plan out trading and such. It's going to be chaotic haha.

Date: 2013-07-26 10:36 pm (UTC)Awww... thank you for the icon comments. Chen is so precious. Of course I'll shower him w/ plenty of love! ♥
I so totally hear ya with meeting EXO. I'll feel a lot better if other male groups I really like & have my heart set on (VIXX being one of them since I didn't met them at KCON & I'm still hurt from it) can come to KCON. I still want to meet EXO so badly, but I dunno if I can put up w/ any more craziness before I reach my limit & snap at anyone. I wouldn't mind getting scratch tickets from the other groups, but sadly I fell away from 2AM after Saint O'Clock (and I'm more familiar w/ their older stuff) & while Teen Top keeps growing on me, I'm more into their music than the fandom. I'd love to meet my bias C.A.P since we both share the same birthdate (I'm way older than him). About the pessimism part, I'm so with you! After dealing w/ last year's KCON, it seems like the negativity outweighs the positives. At the same time I'm also being realistic as I'm sure about 100-200 scratch cards (we don't know how many will have autographs or a high touch) will be randomly distributed and I still find it difficult to meet SM Town artists let alone EXO. I just don't want to get my hopes too high.
I totally agree that our scratch cards should be given to us earlier or better yet have KCON allow us to choose who we want to meet & be placed on a first come first served basis, just how the SBS Concert handled their VIP artists meet & greet session.
I won't be surprised if things get really chaotic. I don't even know if I can't trust anyone who from the scratcher card trade groups despite having sign ups via google docs. A majority of us almost all want to meet EXO! If I do end up winning EXO's ticket, I surely hope their meet & greet is on a Saturday so I can get this done & over with and not have to worry about my ticket getting lost or stolen. There are batshit crazy fans who'll steal from others. D:
