Kim Woo Bin Used to Eat 30 Eggs Per Day to Gain Weight

On the recent episode of MBC’s “Section TV Entertainment News,” which was aired on July 2, actor Kim Woo Bin appeared as a special guest for an interview.

When his profile was shown, which revealed his height and weight to be 187cm (6 ft 1.5 inches) and 70kg (154 pounds), Kim Woo Bin stated, “Usually, these are correct measurements, but currently, I gained weight for a movie. I now weigh 74kg.”

When the interviewer mentioned the rumor that he used to eat one carton of eggs (30 eggs) a day, Kim Woo Bin explained, “That was during my high school years. I was preparing to become a model. I was too thin and needed to gain some weight.”

He also added jokingly, “I wish you hadn’t asked me this question. Now, people are going to hate me.”

Meanwhile, on this episode, Kim Woo Bin also explained with his friendship with his friend Lee Jong Suk.

Actor Kim Woo Bin recently talked about one of his closest friends, fellow actor Lee Jong Suk. The two actors are most recognized and beloved for their roles in popular drama series, “School 2013,” where they coincidentally starred as best friends too!

On his latest interview with MBC‘s “Section TV Celebrity Talk,” Kim Woo Bin shared, “My friendship with Lee Jong Suk continues to grow. I believe that love also exists in friendships.”

When asked whether Kim Woo Bin considered Lee Jong Suk as his competition since they are the same age, he replied, “There isn’t the slightest bit of rivalry felt between us, we’ve always sent each other uplifting and encouraging texts.”

In related news, Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin paired up again to endorse clothing brand “Trugen” for its Fall/Winter collection. Lee Jong Suk has also been garnering fame for his stellar performance in the drama series, “I Can Hear Your Voice.”

I LOVE eggs too! +... omelette, century egg, salted egg, onsen tamago, steamed egg, chawanmushi, hard boiled etc.

but i do get slightly upset when i eat an overcooked sunny-side up.

Yes I have and I like it a lot! I'm from Singapore and minced pork with century egg congee is a very common dish here.

I have to say the only egg dish I've tried and dislike thus far is probably the Iron Egg (tiedan) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_egg).

lol i actually lost 13kgs while being on eggs&grapefruits diet... i ate around 50 eggs during two weeks and like two grapefruits or more per day. plus lots of vegetables and boiled stuff. it was hard but worth it. i had to lose weight cause i have health issues related to muscles and they don't work properly... ugh genetics. i decided to try losing some fat even though i wasnt obese or anything, im glad it worked out since i really feel better now.

eggs are dangerous, eating them alone without having something to stabilize the high choresterol content (like grapefruits) is kinda wrong. esp that much of them...

I thought the verdict now is that the cholesterol in eggs isn't that dangerous after all? But I guess the key is moderation and I can see why you were worried if you had 50 eggs in two weeks. But good job!! :) Did you keep the weight off?

Yeah, I did :) I lost like 8kgs during that two weeks and i kept some of the eating habits so I'm still losing :) I started to work out as well, nordic walking most of the time, I feel much better :)

the netizens reaction to his jongsuk comment made me so angry, because god forbid a man be in a loving realationship with another man without romantic undertones and be open about love.

I don't think they were joking with the idea that being gay is bad or gross? Also you see that type of comments with not just Korean netizens but on American sites too. Also I feel like these people who joke about them wanting him to be gay if they can't have him aren't the same people as those who would hate on him if he ever came out. I always wondered how celebrities took to themselves being shipped with other people, especially same-sex. Idols are more used to it since that seems to be an expected part of the fandom, but actors you don't get that as often. I think Woobin is doing a good job of answering it, although it does annoy me that while they're very good friends it's been almost six months since School 2013 ended but he still gets questions about Jongsuk. I guess that will fade once The Heirs and Friend 2 get kicked off.

Also I think he's traumatized from Hello Counselor when Lee Youngja smacked him with a pillow when he said he doesn't gain weight from eating a lot :D

Urgh it sucks cause as someone allergic to eggs I have to watch out breads and cakes too but most times when Idgaf and would eat them still, with consequences of course, lol. /sighs
