I haven't done a full listen yet, but what I can tell by making this post is that every song seems to have a different genre. Junsu even tweeted people tried to dissuade him from the track "This song is funny..right?". That song confuses me. Which songs are you favs?

Not sure if the lyrics to Chocolate Girl are going to cause any controversy and I'm really in no position to comment on it but the actual song is really great.

No Reason, Rainy Eyes, Confessing, Chocolate Girl and Fantasy are all in that jazzy R&B groove that I've always wanted him to explore more and HOLY SHITBALLS they're all amazing.
The big ballads, Sorry and Don't Leave, both made me cry. Especially Don't Leave, because the 'kajima' part reminds me of In Heaven. I still have one of those little 'kajima' signs we held up at the end of JYJ's San Jose show. It's hanging on my wall. Both songs display frighteningly brilliant vocal skill. Been playing 11AM constantly for the last week. Seems Like Love just sounds sooo sweet.
Jamming the hell out of Incredible. Turn it Up is weird in a great way. And the 'funny song' is EVERYTHING. Could not stop laughing. Omgsun.
By the way, I love Gilme's contribution. I was trying and failing to think of another song with a male singer and a featured female rapper. Female singer + featured male rapper is common. Male rapper + featured female singer is common. But I can't think of any song with a male singer and a featured female rapper. Even outside of Kpop. There must be!
Anyone know of one?

Date: 2013-07-15 12:28 pm (UTC)I have a whole bunch of favourites already, can't quite decide which I love the most although after seeing him perform both 11am and Sorry in the showcase and having my eyes well up almost immediately I might have to go for them for the moment. But yep, so many amazing songs. And so many with awesome choice of instruments!! I think that's perhaps what, for me, really holds this album together and gives it a flow.
Someday I will have money and I will have to buy this!

The ballads on Tarantallegra are infinitely better (11AM is probably my favorite song on this album, but there were several AMAZING ballads on Tarantallegra), whereas the non-ballads on Incredible are waaay more listenable than the non-ballads on the first album. But I'm a ballad stan so this is hard for me ok.

I did skip Funny Song after the first listen, but at least I understand it after reading the comments here. I had gotten a Michael Jackson tabloid feel from it, and it wasn't too far off, just with more silliness. :p
