EXO sell 380,000 albums and become the Highest monthly sales in 2013

EXO took the top two spots on Gaon's physical album chart for the month of June.

The Korean version of the boys' first studio album 'XOXO' sold 206,812 copies in June, beating out the competition to secure the #1 spot. Not only that, the Chinese version of 'XOXO' sold 172,144 copies, pushing the Chinese version to 2nd place.

In total, the boys sold 378,956 copies of 'XOXO', which is the highest monthly total on Gaon for 2013. Girls' Generation's 'I Got A Boy' sold 265,322 copies in January, while Cho Yong Pil's 'Hello' sold 197,255 copies in May.

it helps that they had like, 10 fansigns in june. i bought 26 albums for mine... D: but i got in so it was worth it. i know that albums sold really isn't an indicator of popularity with idol groups bc their fans are insane (ha) but it's nice that they're getting more recognition. i'm really happy for them. ;A; ♥

I really liked most of their first EP but Wolf was SUCH a mess to me. I haven't kept up with kpop at ALL for a long time and missed out on the fun that was the demo release so that just came out of nowhere to me and was so fucking weird. But hey, good for them!

SNSD had digital sales (their single and many of their supporting tracks), EXO no so much. Plus, exo has 2 albums sales combined, snsd had one (yes, I know that snsd had 10 covers, but you could see that and easily pick your favorite member. Exo had a set different singers featured on each album. It be like SNSD release one album with three verison, one TTS, one YoYuSica and one SunHyoSoo as the singers and I bet fans would grab all three... and yes I'm making up subgroups).

And I'm fan of both, so this isn't putting them down, just explaining the difference. Its the same reason that SuJu gets more physical sales in a month than SNSD without being nearly as relevant.
