130710 [C-JeS] Our Business Dispute With Loen Entertainment Has Come To An Amicable Resolution

Hello.

This is C-JeS Entertainment’s CEO Baek Chang Joo.

Our business dispute with Loen Entertainment (henceforth known as Loen) has come to an amicable resolution. Last night, we met with Loen’s representative staff members and received an official statement that they would progress with the planned distribution of XIA (Junsu)’s second solo album, as well as the previously agreed upon promotional marketing strategies.

There will be a live global broadcasting on of XIA (Junsu)’s showcase, which many fans have been waiting for, on Melon TV and Loen will be able to keep their promise with Melon users. Online promotions for XIA (Junsu)’s second solo album have been normalized, and we are now able to provide a lawful performance and music to those who love and support XIA (Junsu)’s music.

We would like to show our deep gratitude to the press who gave an entertainment agency with a desperate situation their attention, and the public for giving us their support.

We will repay this support with various activities from the release of XIA (Junsu)’s second solo album on the 15th to his Asia Tour.

I didn't expect a resolution so quickly, but I'm happy things are working out. I read in a comment on one of my previous posts that Kfans were planning something. I wonder if that had anything to do with this.

Well that was...sorta anti-climatic. But I guess that's a good thing that there's no lawsuits being thrown around.

I'm simply happy that this gives more opportunities for Junsu to be promoted because idk if he's even on the online charts with 11am anymore. Let's just hope that C-Jes learned their lesson.

Get that bullshit outta here! C-Jes knows exactly what their dealing with and know that they have to be forceful to get what their client needs. Loen were being assholes and were put back in their place. Did they honestly think the Korean fans were going to dig into their ass for that? Now Junsu gets to do what was originally agreed upon. All because the big meanies C-Jes pushed back and made sure the fans were aware of what was going on.

I realize that LOEN's response was to deny they were backing out of anything. But obviously LOEN sent some statement to CJeS saying they were dropping everything and didn't reply when CJeS was like 'WTF?'.

So... what the hell happened?

Whatever. At least it's over.
Junsu can enjoy France for a few days then come back and slay the stage.

Yep! JYJ is shooting some kind of commercial in France, so they're staying for a week. They were in Chamonix a couple days ago. Dunno where they're staying or anything though. ^^

People may think that C-Jes are some bullies but with the way that things go down in the Korean music industry the only thing that these companies understand is money and loss of face. So when C-Jes takes things public it puts Loen on the defense forcing them to try and explain their asinine actions to the public (that most of the time are frivolous and short-sighted). Loen didn't just have to deal with C-Jes but also upset JYJ Korean and international fans who immediately bombarded them with angry messages and unsubscribed their channel on YouTube. Also, there was a program yesterday on the Korean news about the unfair treatment of JYJ, with an emphasis on this recent situation.

The timing of all this was pretty tight and well chosen if LOEN wanted to "negotiate" more dough from C-Jes. Did you notice C-Jes never said what they had "settle" on, only that they'd "settled amicably"? C-Jes probably had to agree to less $$$ to ensure a smooth process for Junsu. That's called hardball negotiation. If I can figure out how to ensure more of my dough gets into JYJ's pocket, I'd totally go that route to purchase their album(s).

This whole situation is strange. They didn't even promise that much in the first place. It makes me think they didn't want to deal with C-JeS anymore and ended their business prematurely.
