Japan doesn't really have shows to promote on though, right? KRY had their single released in Japan, at least... And I know, I was hoping for HenMi in this x_x
Um, Japan does, actually? I think artists with new releases usually perform in Music Station, and there are a few other shows like Hey Hey Hey where SHINee performed in.
No, I know there are a couple but it's nothing like what there is in Korea (M! Countdown, Music Core, Music Bank, Inkigayo, even Sketchbook). Usually for Japanese releases (say with SNSD or SHINee) they might perform on Japanese shows three times in total, whereas with Korean promotions they're performing three or four times a week.
Japanese artists usually promote their songs on those shows once it is released, but usually not more than two weeks. Since the main purpose to promote a song is just to let people know about the song hence they don't see the need to perform it three/four times a week for a whole month. They would rather use the time to promote by having fan signs, radio shows, road shows, mini concert etc.
People will also get bored watching the same faces for a whole month performing the same songs over and over again. And also the fact that there are numerous comebacks and debuts every week in Japan, the korean music show system will not work there. They'll prolly need a whole 5 hour if they use that system.
I liked the original song, let's see what SM made of it. They look very pretty. Avex saved at least some of them out of the box, lol. I wish HenMi would participate, too. And that's gonna be a weird dance since the song is more of a ballad.
My first thought was that they finally were out of the box lol And they all look gorgeous. I don't know about the song, 'cause I'm not a big fan of ballads, but I'm hoping for a proper japanese promotion. I really really want to hear Sungmin speaking japanese again OTL
