It looks like they spent a lot of money on this episode and it had the lowest ratings since episode 49. The ratings have been going down down down fast it's pretty sad.

Yep. They're way way ahead of KBS and SBS. KBS is 2nd and SBS 3rd. SBS is 3rd mostly because Barefoot Friends is getting abysmal ratings + it's the lead-in for RM so it doesn't help.

barefoot friends is just a jumble of mess right now i enjoyed the last two episodes but it's going nowhere :/ appa odiga is such an amazing show they deserve it :D

This episode was so disappointing for so many reasons. What kind of lame ass weak powers did they give the RM members. Jong Kook's power did the opposite of helping him. They had 0 chance. They should have teamed up but they had already started working against each other by the time the guests came in. Though I really don't get why they didn't after that.
Ji Suk Jin is so underrated imo. His body gags are always on point and he has great timing. He talks less than some other members but when he does it's usually really funny. Ji Hyo was fierce against one-handed Choo Sung Hoon.

pretty dumb episode. dear RM writers/PDs, just because the first superhero episode was awesome (it really was) doesn't mean you should use the same formula again and again. too much backstory/character intro = not enough time for the LOLs. no to overly scripted episodes please!

I honestly think the guest stars, or maybe more precisely the amount of guest stars, detracted from the quality of the episode.

It had so many things that I love, super powers, an Avengers theme, and a focus on the chase. Super Powered Chase is one of my favorite episodes of all time, but in this particular episode the segment I liked the most was the paintball war.

I do wonder how much they had to pay the mall to shut down, or if they staged everything after hours and if so how long they had to stay up until.

Very sad to hear the ratings are taking a plunge. I love this show and would hate to see it go.

When they film in public places like that they film at night. They don't do it as much now but in the earlier episodes they always filmed during the night. Because the episodes took place in only one 'famous' public place then. They've used that mall a lot too.

ngl that episode was pretty boring. usually the better episodes are when they're just by themselves, or if theres a really active guest that is actually trying to win or participate (park ji sung!!! <3 u).

was today's episode rating bad too? from reading netizenbuzz it seemed like jung woo sung was on wonbins level in terms of popularity (well close anyway) so maybe the ratings went up? rm gives me life i would hate for it to be cancelled :(

I hate having to hear people say things like "this episode was terrible" or "awful" or "the ratings are so low". I'm not going to lie and say that this was the greatest episode of all time, but to say it's "awful" is pretty harsh IMO. When you compare this episode of RM to an episode of other varieties out there (Barefoot Friends, anyone?) I think it still holds up pretty well.

I agree there were too many guests, the powers weren't really thought out/utilized well, and the end part was somewhat rushed. However there were still moments in this episode that made me laugh and made me enjoy the episode. The highlight for me was seeing Ji Hyo fight at the end and really give it her all.

Honestly I think people need to chill out with their comments towards RM. I think every show (even RM) has had their lulls and high points and I'm sure before we know it there's going to be a fantastic episode of RM right around the corner.

I think this is what really brought down the episode for me. If you're going to have an Avengers episode you should go all out for it, and it seem sort half assed when it came to the powers.

What else would you have had them do to go all out? While I don't think the powers worked out as they intended, I'm kind of lost as to how they could have really improved them while still staying true to the characters that they were trying to play.

I don't get your point tbh. We're talking about RM here so why compare to another show that sucks all around? I assume the people commenting have been watching for a while so they are aware of RM's history with having strings of great episodes then bad episodes and so on.
+ This is a specific episode discussion post and this episode happened to be boring (and offensive). Yes RM has had worse episodes and also hilarious episodes. But this specific episode still sucks.
When an episode is good people say it's good like the Kim Soo Hyun & Lee Hyun Woo one. Then you can say that's too much praise considering that other variety show is so much funnier and consistent, RM has had a lot of bad episodes, there's probably one coming up soon.

Sorry for saying what I thought? You're right that this is a post to discuss this specific episode of RM so maybe I lost sight of that a little bit, but I was still trying to comment on the comments in regards to this episode.

I'm not too sure what you mean in regards to your "too much praise" comment.

I guess I just stan RM so much that I get upset when I hear people who are not satisfied with it. Like I said, I agree that this wasn't the greatest episode so I don't think I'm some delusional stan.

Too many guest, too much happening. I don't understand the web backpack they gave Gary. Don't they know there are safe web shooting toys made for Spider-Man? Most of the Avengers stuff was pretty lame. Watching Suk Jin try to turn into the Hulk was the best part of the Avengers set up.

I think the web thing was sort of his fake power. The real thing was his nametag. It reminded me of the super power football episode with Park Ji Sung. He had to carry that huge bag on the front with the balls inside, it was pretty useless.

This episode had a lot of potential, but it didn't really live up to it. Gary's net was useless. So was Jong Kook's power. He was MIA during the whole chase it seems.

That being said, the chase was still really exciting. The twins were a great idea, Kwang Soo's bow was hilarious and the Hulk was awesome lol.

It really rankled me though when Choo Sung Hoon basically told Ji Hyo to give up so the men could fight. I'm glad she showed him that she's not going to be dismissed so easily...jerk.

I quite enjoyed this episode up until the actual chase...

Really enjoyed the part where Gary and Jihyo decided to run away to JongKook just like how JoongKi did with Jihyo on that earlier episode ♥ and Ji Sukjin on the sit-ups was hilarious ^^

When it got to the actual chase,I was abit disappointed...JongKook didnt even get to use his power and Jaesuk sided with the villians instead of everyone teaming up against them... :/

Anyway Gary was just love!His bag and net was such a disaster!lol Haha with his mini firecrackers just made me laugh so hard!!Loved the Hulk too!

Last of all,Jihyo was just ♥ She looked amazing in black and gave a hell of a fight against SungHoon.She's a fighter ^^
