So basically I'm loving this drama, and I can't get enough of Suha and Lawyer Jang. Jang's panic when she thought he'd stolen the gun was so sweet and heartachey at the same time!
I'm reeeeally liking it so far. The pacing is great, the story hasn't dragged at all yet. The relationship dynamic between Suha (Jong Suk) and the female lead is really good too. Definitely worth giving it a try!
I love age gap stories in kdramaland, but I know in real life it's always sketchy and weird haha. In dramaland I can pretend that it all comes down to TRUE LOVE, and you can't say no to TRUE LOVE.
i finally started watching this, somewhere in episode 6, and i like the tone and pacing of this. i'm sold more on the characters. and lee jong suk pining for noona (since i assume he's not getting the girl) all drama long is going to kill me.
don't write off Jongsuk's character just yet!! There are kdramas where the highschool guy got the girl~ See Flower Boy Ramyun Shop and Biscuit Teacher Star Candy (older drama with Gong Yoo).
i know those dramas, though i must have been mistaken one of the articles i read that the other two were the item. (i backtracked dramabeans but realized i misread the article)
tbh i'd be sad if yoon sang hyun doesn't get the girl too. i like him and his character is too adorable. but lee jong suk's crush is tearing at me more.
Sooooo good. I love everything about the drama except the fact that I just do not buy Kwanwoo and Hyesung at all.

Same here. I was literally screaming at the mom when he went to work for her. I'm sure she knows what happened to her daughter in court 10 years ago, right? I was hoping she would have the murderers face imprinted in her brain in case he ever came around no matter how long it has been.
While I understand that everyone loves the whole Suha/Hyesung ship, I'm seriously rooting for Lawyer Cha/Hyesung.
Part of it is that they are such foils of each other and their slow-growing attraction is adorable ;( Another part of it is that I would love to see a drama just have like...a really nice, loving Noona/Dongsaeng relationship.
Suha really needs someone to take care of him and be his family, which Hyesung is becoming, but I would rather it stay like that instead of become ~romantic~.
Also, the rivalry between Suha and Lawyer Cha is hilarious, esp in ep6 when Suha shooed him away. Suha is Adorable

I love how Lawyer Jang became all motherly after the gun incident. I think that's something that Suha desperately needs and wants even if he doesn't know it. Sure he knows he wants someone to take care of him, but I don't think he realized he wants parental figures.
aaaarg, i see the drama getting there, actually. which sucks cos i wanna root for Suha so much, but i see the writer's otp being Lawyer Cha/Hyesung. damn. :p
Does anyone else feel that Lawyer Jang is using Suha when it comes to things in court? I don't like that vibe at all. She needs to learn how to be a good lawyer on her own because Suha can't always and shouldn't always be there to help her. For one thing he's a student who has to go to school.
I agree with this. She can't rely on him all the time. Not to mention the point of being a public defender is to give your client a fair defense... whether they're guilty or not. I really feel like what she did with the twins was really wrong, and I'd feel that way regardless of the whole "they were getting revenge" aspect.
In the case of the twins, I feel like if Suha hadn't sent that text, the whole case would have come out differently. Lawyer Jang can't take the thoughts Suha hears and tells her about just for what they are either. One, people lie in their thoughts sometimes, and two, the thoughts he hears aren't always the whole truth. Sometimes people have fleeting thoughts that leave as soon as a person has them and mean nothing too.
ita! just like the older lawyer said(i don't remember his name)about her not being fit for being a public defender.Hopefully she grows into a better lawyer without relying too much on Suha
isnt that the whole point though? to see her grow as a lawyer. cos in the first ep she was the worst, and now she still lacks a lot, but with suha's help/honesty she's growing more and more, so eventually i'm sure we'll see her grow into a good lawyer who's not in need of suha or anyone else. I think her arc is really interesting, satisfying and real. It doesnt bother me at all, tbh.
Yeah at first it irked me but now I know why she needs him so much. I'm really excited to see the shift from her wanting to win cases just to have something to gloat about to Doyeon to actually being a good public defender who doesn't need Suha's reassurance. I'm just glad that we have a REAL lead character, there's a nice balance of good and bad in Hyesung and it makes me root for her.
yes, she's not the most likable female character in kdramaland but she's very real which makes me want to root for her too. And I really want her relationship with Doyeon to get better too..
I see where you're coming from. It could go that way. It could also go that Suha wants to help (in whatever way he does regarding Lawyer Jang's court cases) and won't stop because he wants to help because he feels indebted to her. His helping isn't always a good thing either, but I don't think he realizes it with his love and young age clouding things. So I see two different possible outcomes.
i think the variable here is suha, as in he's the one who could go dark (i SO hope not), for Hyesung i'm pretty sure no matter how the story unfolds, its given that she'll grow better in her work -one way or another. Because a) she knows how to trash her pride and b) from her conversation with suha about not getting revenge, she is clear water. What I'm saying is, if you try to see her as a good person (cos she really isnt taking advantage of suha intentionally) who just hasnt gotten where she should be yet, it wont bother you as much?? thats my point of view, at least. :)
Sooha and Hyesung is my new otp. I watch the entire episode going "Now kiss!" and "BE TOGETHER!!!" Urgh I love them. They are way cute together. I don't think their age gap is too big. If she was about 14-15 and he was about 8 when they met, gap is not too big. I can live with it. ^^
This show is my fave drama of the year so far. Just love the storyline.
Pretty much mte. I actually know real life couples with bigger age gaps so it isn't even an issue for me, but it seems like some people can't handle it, lol.
i ship her with suha, but i dont quite buy the chemistry of the actors.. i mean i love jongsukie and boyoung is really suited for the role, in fact both are suited for their roles separately, but together... dunno maybe the age difference is too apparent. which is weird cos i dont dislike guys being younger (dalja!!! <3 ) and jongsuk has chemistry with everyone!!!
Oh another thing I think is that Suha is going to try to kill the murderer, but something is going happen so that outcome doesn't occur. Some words of Lawyer Jang perhaps?
i got my dad to watch this with me and he is completely convinced that Suha and Hyesung will end up together since he thinks the leads in k-dramas always do. right now i don't know but before the drama began airing i already shipped Suha and Hyesung because their BTS pics and interactions were so cute!
i can see why people ship suha & hyesung but i only see them as siblings. i think it's mostly the fact that hyesung is really unaware when it comes to touching/proximity with suha. plus, i really like lawyer cha's dorkiness so i ship hyesung w/ lawyer cha, and i ship suha with sungbin :3

This Drama is so amazing <3 I fell in Love beginning from Ep1 .. I hope the can keep the pace :) the mixture of Fun and Drama is the best I have seen in a long time :) it´s always a rollercoaster for my feelings ..

To realise that he had no one at all in the world that cares for him, ugh... I can't explain how many times I've been clutching my painful heart as it breaks. T_______T Hye Sung comes in and cares for him is love love love.
I don't think I can take it if in the future episodes they'll reveal more on Sooha's past and then at the same time there'll be more progress on Hye Sung / Kwan Woo (I love him, too) to be witnessed by Sooha. sobs.

People on viki really seemed to be annoyed with Cha Kwanwoo, but I like him a lot actually. However, I don't think he should be with Lawyer Jang. The most obvious reason is because they work together. Working with someone you are dating can turn into a real nightmare once the relationship goes south. Even if the relationship goes well, it will get harder to separate work and love as time goes on.
Also the main reason I like the Sooha/Hyesung couple is because of the noona/dongsaeng romance angle. Idk, maybe it's because I'm the same age as the Hyesung, and I like younger guys. Hehe..
