alternate title: 'western journalist who doesn't know shit about kpop does a story on it, edition 548'
not really anything new here, it has an interview with a girl that debuted in 'mascot' (nugu^1000, couldn't find ANYTHING about them) then had to quit because of puking all the time and is now producing some other girl group that looks like it uses traditional instruments called supersound or supersonic or something (even more nugu) that's kind of interesting though. And lol @ her calling 'wonder boyz' "justin bieber and one direction at the same time"

Has a Western journalist ever done a feature on kpop that wasnt condescending "lol look at the funny asians singing witht heir funny haircuts, super kawaii~" shit? I liekd Psy's interview with Alina Cho but she's Korean so obviously she'd treat him with mroe respect

okay so like, she thinks they're two artists that do the same exact style of music? er... all right.

also why the hell don't these people get anyone relevant, or like, talk about interesting things? i know the article was linked here, but why can't they be like the guy that did the interview with GLAM where Miso admitted to a nose job? that was a good one... these are all just boring and they suck.

It wasn't too bad, really. If you didn't know anything about Kpop it'd be a nice introduction (minus all that stuff about Wonderboyz being a top group, Supersonic being a big thing, etc). I mean, when the program says there's intense competition between groups, trainees go through hell, groups practice constantly, tons of people get plastic surgery, all for the goal of being perfect, etc, it's not wrong. And they got MIB and Jay Park, who're at least somewhat successful, to come on and talk for a bit.
