You know, I was actually expected some type of article. You know, one that has merit (probably explaining why people get so upset with female idol groups bare skin, despite the fact they've been doing it for years now, but not guys. Not that most of it wouldn't be obvious, but it interesting from like an insider/analyst view).

Instead, I get handful of comments from 13 year old girls and boys. Do some of them cross the line, yes, but at the end of the day OP only posted this to get attention/get people upset which is the same thing 13 year old girls want. They're probably either jealous or trying prove they are cooler/have moved on from kpop (the 13 year old kids). None of these comments are new, none of them are unique to the Korean industry, you can find the same arguments out their about American pop stars of today and from the past and don't even get me started on the Japanese industry. Come back when its not the same insults that haven't been said a million times over since at least the 60s. Maybe with some article that has a solution.

women do face sexual objectification, there are unrealistic expectations of how a 'proper' woman should look like, and i'm definitely not going to put it past some korean companies of forcing their idols to do this and that. but if a woman is confident in her own body - no matter how thin or how fat - and wants to flaunt it, she has every right to as well. not for the sole purpose of pleasing some guy, but because she just fucking wants to, and is proud and comfortable with it.

basically, women should be allowed to do whatever the fuck that makes them happy, and these netizens need to be fucking educated on that asap.

Not that it matters either way, but I don't understand how some of these netizens seem to think that these ladies dress themselves? I mean, yeah, they could have chosen that outfit, but it's more likely that their company chose it. To criticize the women for wearing the concepts chosen by their company as if they chose it themselves seems kind of weird to me. Either way, whatever they wear is fine, but it seems like their "blame" is misplaced.

Also: I don't find all this leg "off putting" or whatever. I think it's great. And I definitely don't think it's too scandalous or "too sexy". If anything, it's tamer than wearing mini skirts so what's their deal? I suspect that (unfortunately) whatever they were wearing they'd get comments like this.
