1. [+703, -96] Really, what are the Communications Standards Commission people even doing to stop this? People seem to think that men enjoy things like this but no, it's extremely off putting to look at...
2. [+684, -23] The spring season is filled with cherry blossom (butkot) festivals while the music industry is filled with a stripping (butko) festival
3. [+471, -19] What happened to all the spring season songs... everyone's just going all in with the sexy concepts. Normally around this time of the year, we got songs fit more to the weather.
4. [+336, -25] As a guy, it really disgusts me seeing them like this. Every line's been crossed and it's just boring to watch now.
5. [+287, -7] Surprising the viewers one panty at a time
6. [+267, -8] A line's been way crossed lately. It wouldn't be a stretch to call them promoters of the sex industry.
7. [+168, -16] These prostitutes calling themselves singers should just put on a strip show on stage.. Might as well with the way they're dressing... And you wonder why there are so many sexual crimes within the industry. The idol b*tches are just asking for it by wearing clothes like that. "Come eat me alive~"
8. [+146, -7] What do you expect from kids who are basically selling their bodies? They do whatever their agency tells them to, whatever their choreographer tells them to, whatever their composer tells them to.. And they still call themselves singers? It'd be easier to just go out to bars and sell your bodies.
9. [+127, -2] I'm calling the next concept to be stripped down naked with only body painting... You heard it here first.
10. [+120, -1] Getting attention through gimmicks like this only works momentarily... Having a trashy song can never help that attention transition into longevity.

gross as per usual, and some of y'all better not try it like in the last post with your ridiculous "not classy/tacky/etc" comments

Date: 2013-06-17 04:22 pm (UTC)Also #8 especially pisses me off. So you know that idols are basically at the mercy of whatever companies want them to do, but you still judge them and call them prostitutes and such. Yeah. No wonder the dark side of the idol industry will never be challenged.

Date: 2013-06-17 04:29 pm (UTC)Instead, I get handful of comments from 13 year old girls and boys. Do some of them cross the line, yes, but at the end of the day OP only posted this to get attention/get people upset which is the same thing 13 year old girls want. They're probably either jealous or trying prove they are cooler/have moved on from kpop (the 13 year old kids). None of these comments are new, none of them are unique to the Korean industry, you can find the same arguments out their about American pop stars of today and from the past and don't even get me started on the Japanese industry. Come back when its not the same insults that haven't been said a million times over since at least the 60s. Maybe with some article that has a solution.

Date: 2013-06-17 04:59 pm (UTC)Men that are hugely intimidated by women who are confident in their bodies and sexuality so the need to brand them a slut is a huge must for them. It's sad really. Though I am sure that some of these comments are from women.

Date: 2013-06-17 05:23 pm (UTC)of course, women only dress for men, and if you are a man, your opinion on how women dress is somehow automatically validated.
no. fuck you.
women do face sexual objectification, there are unrealistic expectations of how a 'proper' woman should look like, and i'm definitely not going to put it past some korean companies of forcing their idols to do this and that. but if a woman is confident in her own body - no matter how thin or how fat - and wants to flaunt it, she has every right to as well. not for the sole purpose of pleasing some guy, but because she just fucking wants to, and is proud and comfortable with it.
basically, women should be allowed to do whatever the fuck that makes them happy, and these netizens need to be fucking educated on that asap.

Date: 2013-06-17 05:25 pm (UTC)Also: I don't find all this leg "off putting" or whatever. I think it's great. And I definitely don't think it's too scandalous or "too sexy". If anything, it's tamer than wearing mini skirts so what's their deal? I suspect that (unfortunately) whatever they were wearing they'd get comments like this.
Also: #7 and #8 blegh.
