We were very envious of TVXQ’s Star Colum!! *smirk* We prepared this really ambitiously, so please enjoy our story, too~ First of all, let me show you the pictures we took preparing for our new album Chapter 1 Dream Girl and Chapter 2 Why So Serious? and the straightforward stories on our life outside the stage!. Then, shall we start?
Hi, this is Onew. Um.. We took this picture preparing for the showcase of the new album. I smiled to relieve nervousness, but it was not enough to completely cover the anxiety.TT You can see Jonghyun, too, who is unable to be with us for the new album Why So Serious. Please pray for the quick recovery of Jonghyun, won’t you?^^
Argh~ This is our “cutie” pose, a rare scene!!! In this picture, the look on Minho’s face is the best. How can a man be that cute.. His height is lovely~ But the twist is that the youngest member Taemin is by far the cutest one. kekeke Taemin blows the minds of “nunas”! Now his voice got thicker TT, being reborn as a real man!
Taemin’s solo shot~ Is Jonghyun behind a cameo? keke This picture even flutters my heart… It is the flower smile!! This is Taemin’s surprise gift for fans who have given constant love for the last five years.
Before the showcase, this is the common scene of our waiting room. Minho is checking his hairstyle until he leaves for the stage. Jonghyun is boasting his arm muscles, and I, um.., what am I doing? ^^;; Can you see the phrases on the hand mirror that Key’s holding? It goes “Sorry for being handsome.” Mr. Key, what is it? Is this the initial stage of a prince syndrome?
Uh-huh~ This is one of my favorites. I took this picture during the music video shoot. I look at it over and over as I like this atmospheric picture.^^ It was very exhausting and tiring to shoot until late at night! But thinking of giving a good present to our fans makes me smile~
Following Onew I want to say hello to you all. Hi, this is Taemin, the youngest! The picture is from the shooting set for Why So Serious M/V. Isn’t it impressive that everyone has serious looks on their faces? It is never because we were tired. keke Right before the shoot, we were practicing our looks to immerse ourselves in the storyline.^^ Onew, I do not think you are sleeping, or are you? Well, I am just saying it. haha
During the M/V shoot each of us took a solo shot! Don’t you think that each of us has our own color and charm? hehe Minho and I went for some chicness. The blazing eyes of Minho are nice enough to match his flaming charisma. I posed all of a sudden while getting make-up done. What do you think? Do I look serious? ^^ Unlike both of us, Onew is giving out the air of a sweet guy. Key has such a bright smile. Isn’t it attractive? I remember that we did our best that day to deliver a better performance even though Jonghyun was absent.^^
Following our cute youngest member Taemin, this is Minho who will introduce you to our pictures! It is a bit awkward and to write about ourselves to you but please keep your support for us. Key looks a little bit nervous, doesn’t he? keke Onew and Taemin are absorbed in looking at something. We sometimes have some free time to relieve nervousness before we stand on the stage. The look of Taemin full of curiosity is very adorable.
The serious look, which is a rare look from our youngest member! Through the picture I can feel Taemin’s nervousness as it is when he is about to hit the stage. Are you sure it is Taemin? He is full of charisma and even his charisma is overflowing.^^(Taemin, nice job, right? keke) I think that a proper amount of nervousness helps us do better on stage. This is how our performance is completed.
How was our story? Did you like it? It feels quite fresh looking at the old pictures and talking about them. Hello, all. This is the shining SHINee. How have you been? In Part 2, we will show you our pictures of the last five years. We enjoyed seeing the old pictures of ourselves. There are some awkward and embarrassing photos but we are releasing these pictures especially for you, the readers of Naver Star Column! Well, then, let us go back to the good old days!
Onew: Is this the beginning of the photo parade? SHINee was less than a month old at that time.
Taemin: I would give out candies from my pockets to female writers or producers. I impressed many people at that time.
Minho: Taemin was the PR ambassador of SHINee. He worked really hard to promote the name SHINee.
Key: Argh, I can’t stand this picture.
Key: Finally, is this what were waiting for?
Onew: This is the self-taken picture! It has already been five years. By the way, I look really young in the picture. You can see a five-year-younger Jonghyun there.
Taemin: I remember I begged staff to get me those glasses… Where is a picture of me?
Onew: I guess this picture is from when we appeared on M countdown at KBS 88 stadium. It is my first vacant look since our debut.
Taemin: I took one of my favorite poses. I am happy with the poster-like picture. Key looks like a doll.
Key: My face shines because I was younger. Everyone has beautiful skin.
Minho: This one! I participated in the fashion show of Designer Ha Sangbaek after a while of our debut.
Taemin: I remember it. Minho was very nervous practicing walking. I thought he looked like a real model. I was proud of him.
Taemin: This is from when I graduated from high school. I remember I was extremely busy at that time. I wanted to be a grown up as soon as possible. Now I miss those days.
Onew: Seeing those born in 1993 or 1994 debuting, I think they are very young. But come to think of it, no one is as young as Taemin was when he debuted.
Key: Taemin was very talented for his age. That is why he was able to join SHINee. Well, now, he is turning into a real grown-up man.
Key: This is from when I graduated! Don’t I look so much prettier now? I went to Daegu to receive a diploma and an achievement award. I was proud to be awarded in front of the whole school.
Minho: Both of you look good in school uniforms. I have a picture of me in a school uniform, too! Coming soon!

Key: Argh! Do we still have this one? It was in Sapporo, Japan. I remember asking my stylist to take a picture with the cute character. It is all the more memorable as our fans gave them to us as a present.
Onew: I remember you trying to copy the face of the character really hard...
Key: Well, how about looking at the next picture now?
Onew: This is from when we won the first place on the chart of a TV music program.
Minho: The one at the top is when Lucifer ranked first. You can’t see Onew? Take a close look at it. The one in my arms is Onew. He was crying out loud after the performance.
Key: In the picture you can see only Onew crying but I remember all of us cried at that time. The picture reminds us of the big love from our fans.
Taemin: From the top to the bottom, you can take a good look at the change we have gone through so far. Please watch SHINee getting mature more and more!
Minho: On May 25 last year! We took a picture in the airplane celebrating the fourth anniversary of our debut. You can see my four fingers up, which means the fourth anniversary.
Onew: I remember it. I tried hard to get in the picture. I intended to look aloof but natural.
Taemin: We said, “it’s already been four years? ” at that time. But now we are celebrating the fifth year. We are well aware that it is all thanks to the love and support of our fans.
Minho: This is it! Tada! This is me in a school uniform. It is from the last shooting day for the SBS TV series Beautiful You. I took the picture to say thanks to my fans.
Onew: Now, let us come back to the present. This is Key seeing the picture of me and Jonghyun and reminiscing the old memories! What was Key thinking?
Key: I was thinking they looked very young. At the same time, I was proud that we have grown up a lot for the last five years. Especially Taemin’s transformation from a young boy into a man is amazing.
