[Eng Subbed] MBC Music: SS5 Documentary with Super Junior Ep. 1 (Brazil) – From 130613

Part 1/??. Kangin narrates, includes departure, BTS and few VTRs and performances at the Brazil concert. A little rowdier than the doco broadcast on regular MBC (see below).

Watch it on DailyMotion

[Full - RAW] MBC: Super Junior's Super Super Show (All stops included) - From 130608

Partially same material as above. Kyuhyun narrates, Hen + Mi ignored, emphasis on BTS.

Two subbed clips:

Beginning

Kangin talks about performing overseas

[ENG SUB] RCTI: Super Show 5 in Jakarta - From 130610

Mostly performance clips. A little different in terms of editing and sound mixing choices (watch out for the hilariously bad clap track). Still, they included some of the lesser known songs too. And it's almost worth the watch solely due to the strangely intensive relatioship Kyuhyun and one of the cameramen seem to be having throughout the whole thing...

yes!!! i really thought they would have included it for the Brazil episode...maybe they will for one of the later SA countries highlight. i really enjoyed that fancam. i wonder if they plan a documentary like this for the rumored London and Paris shows?

I watched as much as I could until my Flash plugin crashed. I hate seeing Henry always shrinking out of the frame. Kangin has a nice voice though.

I wish I could put a big sign up in space that said WE LOVE YOU HENRY AND MIMI.

I'm sure you also saw the picture Henry retweeted where fans drew stick Henry and Zhou Mi figures on a Super Show ad... fans have it right. It sickens me because I continue to feel that SM could stop this if it wanted to, but never does.

It makes me wonder what the point of having SJM or bringing Chinese members on was if they were going to be treated like this, with Geng needing to leave for his own health and sanity and HenMi always off to one side.

I know fans will always have something to bitch about but at least if SM made a statement it'd be good for HenMi and for fans to point to when the bitching goes down - SM SAID they're permanent, so STFU. Henry has revealed some of his feelings during his promotions, but the both of them have so much doubt in their faces and their actions - like they're not so popular and maybe don't have any fans of their own - and it's not fair to put people through that.

I've had a contract job before where from week to week they couldn't definitively tell us if we'd have a job at the end of the month, in 3 months, by the following year, etc. and I wonder if that's what it's like for them? Like they have their impermanence hanging over their heads at all times? I don't know.

"I wish I could put a big sign up in space that said WE LOVE YOU HENRY AND MIMI."
I was having the exact same thoughts while watching the docu Kyu narrated. Maybe I'd do something like that if I ever got the chance to go to one of their concerts.

I've begun fantasizing about a big internet fan project of some sort... I don't know what it'd be or what we'd do, but just to gather all the Mitangs/Strings/ inclined individuals for a mass response.

That would be cool. The dream would be to have the international and Korean fandom cooperate on this for maximum reach and visibility, and to have it both be a message to Henry and MiMi as well as SM. But that's a tall order, of course.

Yes. The most difficult part would have to be the i-fans communicating with the k-fans imho.

Hm, I mainly feel like the most difficult thing would be making the first step?? Idk, I sort of refuse to believe that everyone couldn't get over this childish competitive/prejudiced crap if it was for such a good cause. But due to all this stuff there are no real communication 'paths' (?) between these parts of the fandom, and that makes everything a little more difficult.

Oh, and Taiwan/Chinese fans too ofc.

Would it be a language barrier issue, an influence issue (who do we contact for the most impact), or an attitude issue (is there mistrust/antipathy between i and k-fans despite the fact that we stan the same people)?

I thought about it being a language barrier problem for a second but I dismissed that idea pretty quickly b/c honestly I think there'd be people of Korean descent who learned it as (one of) their mother tongue(s) willing to do some translating/negotiating (or possibly people who study Korean).
I think the other two points are much more pressing: Who do we contact, since there are so many fansites and initiatives and who would consequently take over the lead since someone has to do it (at least to a degree) in a project of this potential size.
And the antipathy; well I said I don't want to accept it but I guess the more realistic approach, especially if a lot of people get involved, is that this sort of rivalry/arrogance exists. Maybe it wouldn't cause problems in the initial phase b/c it seems to me that when a few people communicate about cool stuff like that everything is always more relaxed but as soon as more people get involved, even if only passively, there may be misunderstandings or inconsiderate remarks, etc.
It's really tricky and I think a lot of thought would have to go into that before it even goes into the collaboration stage.

oh random...
as i was watching the MBC/Kangin one...

i had to stop for a moment, "why is there a yoga video in a Super Junior show" i thought...only to realize it was Zhoumi in a handstand.

i watched the one in Latin America and i feel like shit bc i didn't realise zhoumi and henry weren't showed. Then again I was too stressed trying to see if i was in the footage or not lmao

idk how but nope. Despite having a cameraman on my face 3/4 of the concert (flattering the first 20 minutes, creepy the rest of the time) i didn't appear on the program \o/!

lol the crowd was cray cray u__u

Ugh the 130608 airing was shitastic in terms of equal distribution of screen time between ALL members.

I was like, are you sure this is about Super Junior? Why were some of the members being treated like managers/crew members. We clearly see they're there, yet y'all decide not to interview them or let them speak at all? WHUT.

The Kangin narrated one on 130613/14 was much much better. Oh look, Suju truly does have 8~10 dudes in it.

Oh and I'm happy for the boys. They received such a warm and fab fan/crowd reception in South America.
