On June 8th, Girls’ Generation began the “2013 Girls’ Generation’s World Tour – Girls & Peace” tour with a thrilling concert in Seoul’s Olympic Park.
The concert’s setlist proved similar to that of Girls’ Generation’s second arena tour through Japan and featured songs from Girls’ Generation’s second Japanese album, such as “Animal”, “I’m a Diamond”, “T.O.P’, and “FLOWER POWER”, as well as songs from their Korean discography, including “Gee”, “Tell Me Your Wish”, “Oh!”, “Hoot”, “The Boys”, “I Got A Boy”, and many others.
Girls’ Generation also gave the first performance of “LOVE&GIRLS” and threw in several surprises by singing “Promise”, “How Great Is Your Love”, and a ballad version of “Baby Baby”, as well as a special performance of “Twinkle” with all nine members of Girls’ Generation.
The second world tour concert in Seoul will take place tonight, June 9th. The next stop for Girls’ Generation’s world tour will be in Taipei, Taiwan on July 20th and July 21st.

Though I can only judge when I see the concert in glorious HD, I feel like nothing will beat the Japan Tour in 2011. The songs, choreography, outfits and whole atmosphere of sexy and cute combined - ah, it is hard to beat that.

Date: 2013-06-14 01:27 am (UTC)aside from the ugly stage outfits, i'm also disappointed with the setlist. no solo stages suck when you're a fan of the dance line members. i don't understand some of the song choices as well. my j? really? if they wanted a cute song that didn't need a choreography, there are soshi songs better than my j that would fit.
on a better note, sunny sounded great in some of the fancams i've watched. i hope jessica and her get better line distribution for their next album. taeny could use some rest because with the way tiffany's been singing lately, i wouldn't be surprised if she has another round of vocal problems.
