Eun Ji Won to replace Yoo Se Yoon on 'Barefoot Friends'

Amid a drunk driving scandal, Yoo Se Yoon will be departing his new SBS variety program, 'Barefoot Friends', to be replaced by artist and comedian Eun Ji Won.

"Eun Ji Won's addition was decided upon when Yoo Se Yoon chose to depart from 'Barefoot Friends'," said a broadcast industry worker. The former member did not participate in the recording on June 9th. According to official word from SBS, it was still up in the air whether or not Yoo Se Yoon will be returning. However, according to the latest reports, Eun Ji Won will indeed be a permanent replacement.

"The producers and Eun Ji Won's representatives are working out the details on his first appearance and how he will be added to the program," the worker said.

As Eun Ji Won has had previous experience on an outdoor variety program with Kang Ho Dong on '1 Night 2 Days', much anticipation is being placed on how the new addition will boost the newest variety show on the block.

I'm happy that he is joining and from my memories he is one of the few that would not put up with KHD nonsense and stand up to him in a much nicer way the Lee hyori is doing now.
I just would have liked Yoo Se Yoon to stay, he is the only one on the show that makes my lol.

i adore kang ho dong, but on BF he needs to learn how to sit the fuck down and keep himself calm, because he ends up making all about him and he doesn't give the chance to others to shine, hyori was only a guest in the show and she was a better leader than him, allowing everyone to shine and have their moments.

plus he picks favorites in a really non endearing way and pretty much ignores the rest.

Ikr. Despite everything, I still love KHD since the 1N2D day. However, in this show, he is not as good. Maybe in 1N2D, most of them are very dynamic and close, so KHD didn't have problem to try to be funny. He favorited Seungi when he was in 1N2D too but in this show, he did ignore some members. And I feel like he was really trying to be funny, which is not, in BF. He does favor Kim Hyun Jong and a little bit for UEE.

see that is the problem, he is trying too hard to be funny, instead of just leaning back, relax and let thigns me, he is a very funny guy, he doesnt need to be the one that always has to make people laugh or the center of attention.

I'm so happy to see Jiwon and Ho Dong reunited! Jiwon is great on variety shows, he was definitely a favorite on 1N2D :) I think I might skip some eps of Barefoot Friends and start with the Hyori eps.

I've been struggling to like Barefoot Friends. For some reason I have some weird obsession with wanting to love it, and everything up until the Hyori episodes were almost torture! The two things keeping me interested in watching have been Hyun Joong and Shi Yoon. However, I thought the Hyori episode was MUCH better and the concept is much more enjoyable than the overseas shows (well maybe not better, but more entertaining & better edited?).

Honestly, I wasn't enjoying Se Yoon a whole lot. I just wasn't finding him that funny :/ I don't really know a whole lot about Jiwon outside of Reply 1997 and his recent appearance on Running Man (which I LOVED) so I think that this will be a good change (nothing against Se Yoon though). I'll be curious to see how the chemistry among the cast changes with the addition of Jiwon, especially with them just starting to get used to filming together.

He's a veteran in both idols world and variety shows. He used to be a main cast in 1N2D and he was very endearing in it. He has his unique charm and know when and where to speak despite of talking much :D
