'I Hear Your Voice' jumps 5% in one day to become the new #1 Weds-Thurs drama

SBS's new drama 'I Hear Your Voice' has become the new #1 Wednesday-Thursday drama only into its 2nd episode, beating out MBC's 'When A Man Loves', which aired its finale.

According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, 'I Hear Your Voice' impressively shot up by a whopping 5.0% from its previous day's viewer rating of 7.7% to earn 12.7%, grabbing the #1 spot.

Meanwhile, the June 6th finale of 'When A Man Loves' came to an end with 12.1% viewer rating, raising its average a bit. KBS 2TV's historical drama, 'Mandate of Heaven', did jump up a bit from the previous rating to gain 9.3%, but it wasn't enough as it earned the show the last spot among the Weds-Thurs dramas.

Dammit. Show, why do you have to be cute? I don’t have time for youuuuuuuu! SBS’s new fantasy romance I Hear Your Voice premiered this week, and I swore to myself that I wasn’t going to like another show (because who has the time?) but I regretfully report that it’s cute, and breezy, and worse yet—earnest and heartfelt. It’s not surprising, coming from the writer of Dream High, which was equally simple, but full of heart. I can’t promise recaps, but I’m not sure I can stay away either. Augh, dilemmas.

The show premiered in last place to modest 7.7% ratings, against Wednesday-Thursday shows When A Man Loves (11.1%), and Mandate of Heaven (8.5%). [read more of the recap here]


I Hear Your Voice: Episode 2 by girlfriday



This show is so sweetly satisfying, and it’s going to be the death of me. I’m back for another installment, sleep be damned, because how can you walk away from a guardian angel with a face like that? Our Boy Wonder finally finds the girl he’s been searching for all this time, but it remains to be seen whether or not that girl still exists in our heroine.

Ratings jumped to first place with the second episode, coming in at 12.7%. It’s a pretty impressive bump up from the premiere, especially since it beat out the finale of When A Man Loves (12.1%); Mandate of Heaven came in at 9.3%. [read more of the recap here]

Before watching the show, I thought I was going to love Jong Suk's and Sang Hyun's characters more and hate on Bo Young's character (because ugh I didn't like her in My Daughter Seo Young) but now I love her character in this show more than anything. lmao.

At first I was clueless on what drama Heartless City is and why am I not checking the drama out but after some googling I remembered reading news on it on dramabeans and the reason I didn't pay much attention to it was because of Nam Gyu Ri (idk, I couldn't proceed on watching 49 Days because I got irritated at her character/acting ;A; ) but is the drama highly recommended? If so, I'll check it out and hope for her character to surprise me and make me like her, like how Lee Bo Young successfully did in this show.

It's pretty epic.The plot line so far feels like a combo of Infernal Affairs+Bourne trilogy (I refuse to accept Lustbader's atrocities)+Eastern Promises. Cold Jung Kyung Ho in those sharply tailored suits has the same effect on me as lingerie clad ladies on teenage bois.

Heartless City is sooooooo good. It's tense, full of twists, solidly directed and written + I love the music. It's an excellent example of its genre and this kind of show is pretty rare in dramaland so I'm pretty impressed with it. Jung Kyung Ho is terrific. Nam Gyuri hasn't had alot of screen time so far, but I think she's doing pretty well with what she's been given. I don't think she'll ever be a great thespian or anything but I do see improvement.

I really liked the 1st episode but I was 'meh' on the 2nd. I think it's because Kim So Hyun was perfect as usual and I instantly loved her character but when we went back to Park Bo Young in ep 2 she just annoyed me.
I feel no chemistry at all between Jong Suk and Bo Young. Even though JS iss not actually a kid he really felt like a high school kid and he just seemed like her younger brother or something. I was actually liking him with the bully girl instead lol

More proof than Princess So Hyun needs to be the lead in her own drama and stop with these child version flashbacks non-sense. I hope Can We Love is not completely dead and that her and Yeo Jin Goo will still be the leads.

Love love love this drama so far. I just REALLY hope they won't go with the Soo Ha and Hye Sung pairing. I just don't feel it and he seems way too young for it to feel comfortable. Just let him be like a little brother to her please.

ugh i love it so much so far, she is the coolest lady in the world and of course jongsuk is making me fangirl whenever he does something cute. following her home however, is creepy as fuck and that really put me off.

I wasn't planning on watching this (mind reading wut), but Lee Jong Suk is so attractive. The melo parts were straight out of I Miss You, while the silly bits were like any romcom. It's a weird mix, but I enjoyed it!

I really enjoyed the first two eps. I like that Jong Suk's character's expectations of her were totally off the mark, and he'll have to get the know the REAL her before he can have legitimate feelings for her.

I'm also wondering who is going to be the main love interest! Usually you can tell within the first episode, but this time I'm not sure? Right now my kdrama instincts are telling me she'll end up with the other public defender, BUT it's not unheard of for the high school guy to win the lady, see "Flower Boy Ramyun Shop" and "Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy" as evidence.

did anybody else enjoy the color of the pictures and the soundtracks accompanying, aside from the plot and the actors? It's such a pretty cinematography they have going on, so fitting for summer.

I absolutely LOVED the first two episodes! I went in not expecting much but to my surprise, it was PERFECT (for me, anyway) ^^ Apparently it's from the same writer who wrote the first Dream High (not to be confused with the mess that was Dream High 2) and the writing for Dream High was so so good. Here's to hoping it stays good!!

I didn't like Lee Bo-young in My Daughter Seoyoung either;; But omfg that ball scene was my favorite scene tbh hahahah I could not stop laughing.
