Nine-Muses-Kyung-Li_1370586370_af_org

Fed up with the harassing tweets from a Twitter user, Nine Muses’ Kyungri has responded with a warning, which has been backed up by her agency’s intention to file a report.

The Twitter user who goes by a username (@ibjotdrgn) who seems to have copied G-Dragon’s Twitter handle (@IBGDRGN), has been sending Kyung Li vulgar tweets over the past few days.

(WARNING: Vulgar Language! HIGHLIGHT TO SEE)
“I want to do you. I want to release my tadpoles in your uterus. A frog will probably grow right? Ribbit ribbit”

Feeling that this has gone on long enough, Kyungri responded, “Get a grip”.

Seeing the exchange, fans responded, demanding that the user not only apologize to Kyungri but also to G-Dragon as the user has also written vulgar things towards the Big Bang leader as well: (WARNING: Vulgar Language! HIGHLIGHT TO SEE) “I want to stimulate you as I suck your balls hard.”

Having become aware of the situation, Kyungri’s agency has warned of legal action, stating, “Once we confirm the situation, we plan to report this to the cyber investigative unit and respond in a firm manner

The official Nine Muses Twitter also tweeted, “We request that the Twitter user ‘ibjotdragn’ that uses sexual hate comments toward Nine Muses’ Kyungri delete all the tweets and personally apologize to Kyungri by coming to our office. If this is not done immediately, we will be filing a lawsuit against this user under the ‘Violation of law on IT use and information protection’ act.”

I'd do the Kyungri thing but I probably would not ever tweet it.

PRobably also because I don't have twitter.

Ew...

personally apologize to Kyungri by coming to our office

I don't think that's a good idea.

the word jot is a vulgar slang for penis, by the way.

i'm surprised by the comments here so far, it's one thing to text your friends that but a whole different thing to text to it to a stranger who doesn't even know what you look like. it's gross and disgusting, and while asking for personal apology sounds like a terrible idea, legal action is totally appropriate.

this isn't the first time celebrities get vulgar and disgusting tweets from random people - remember sohee and the constant tweet terror? this is serious sexual harassment.

I agree, I don't see how sexual harassment is funny or acceptable just because the person is a celebrity. There are a certain amount of things you have to accept if you're a public figure but this doesn't fall under that category.

Even if this release is partly media play or whatever, so what? It's good for them to send a message that this is unacceptable before it gets out of hand.

That's disgusting and not even close to being funny or amusing. This is just straight-up sexual harassment. Can you block people on Twitter?

Date: 2013-06-08 01:32 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] moonfox35.livejournal.com
you can block people but since kyungri and gd's twitters are public the person can still read their tweets. I think if you block a public account then their tweets don't show up on your mentions but I'm not sure since I have a private twitter myself.

I mean I've said vulgar things about kyungri myself but they're on my personal, private twitter. I would never tweet any of it to kyungri herself :/

Ok, we all feel that way but we don't tweet it to celebrities goddamn. At least not if you're a sane person.

Some of these comments...

I remember when Yongguk made his tumblr this fangirl (I'm pretty sure she's semi ~tumblr famous but I can't for the life of me remember her url) sent him a bunch of lewd fanmail and for some reason her twitter friends thought it was funny and egged her on. I'm glad he deleted his tumblr.

Fans constantly embarrass me with the gross shit they tweet to idols but the freak in this article crosses the line.

Kween Kyungri handled this beautifully.

Sigh at the people saying it's not a big deal, hope he gets punished for this it's ridiculous the amount of shit celebs have to go through and take.

Ugh, the comments.

I'm glad she's taking action, just because there's a ton of creeps that do the same to celebrities, doesnt mean she should just stay quite and ignore it.

Disgusting people. Go Kyungri! I don't even know why I like her response so much. Also, is the company asking for something to go wrong by asking the person to come down to their building?

what part of sexual harassment is funny??? if it's something you're comfortable with saying between friends, that's cool, i do it too. but to strangers? public figures? the best thing about this is kyungri's comment, because i really value when these idols have patience, but also when they know it's time to respond.

the only reason this could be "excusable" (or overlooked maybe is a better word) is because it happens all the fucking time. the comments i read on instagram especially are so damn sick sometimes. but this is serious because it's someone who seems to be doing this on purpose, repeatedly, with bad intentions. i don't care if the company is also doing this to draw attention to themselves, i'm glad they stood up for her publicly. so, please omona, get a grip~
