Union J's George covers 2NE1's 'Lonely'

British boyband Union J have already revealed themselves to be Kpop fans in the past with members citing 2NE1 as an ideal candidate for a collaboration. Now member George has gone one step further and covered 2NE1′s hit song “Lonely”.

He mentioned that singing in Korean was hard as getting the pronunciation correct wasn’t an easy task. Nonetheless he preserved and did a small cover of the group’s song on live television. The boys were appearing on the daytime show “Loose Women” for a short interview to discuss their latest single and their newfound fame.

The hosts were quick to mention George’s hidden talent which they suggested could be useful when they become “big in Asia”. It turns out that George’s hidden talent is the ability to sing in Korean which he admits isn’t “amazing”. Regardless,  George did a great job at attempting to sing a song that’s not in his mother tongue whilst simultaneously introducing Kpop to the British masses.

I think everyone likes things that I consider as good or not-so-much and it doesn't depend of these people skin color.

And so what if I'm white? There wasn't any other option for my parents and grandparents. but still I'm half Polish and half Ukrainian with a tiny bit of Tatar blood. Nothing to feel ashamed and nothing to feel superior about.
