Review based on "super secret" screening of Ninja Assassin in Comic-Con:


 
Bloodiest movie of the year?

There will be blood. Lots and lots of blood. Total Film almost had to wipe the stuff from our eyes as it geysered everything throughout the Comic Con sneak screening of Ninja Assassin last night. 

Severed heads, arms, legs, faces... Everything gets the chop in director James McTeigue's mega-violent follow-up to V For Vendetta, which stars Asian heartthrob and Speed Racer actor Rain as a vengeful black-clad killer.

Sadly, the story and the acting are way less sharp than the swords and shuriken stars being lashed around. But for sheer B-movie gore-gushing, Ninja Assassin simply doesn't hold back.

Ninjas hit by cars. Victims gutted. Walls painted with claret. It's stylised, for sure - lots of swerving camerawork, thanks to producers The Wachowski Brothers - but brutal stuff.

By the end of the film, Rain looks like he's dropped been through a giant paper-shredder.

Martial arts movies don't need amazing acting or a great plot. They just need fantastic action sequences. Which I am pretty sure this movie has.

whatever, this is a movie that is good for 2 things: kick ass action scenes and rain naked . i don't even want more than that . good acting and an actual plot would seriously distract me from what's really important !!!

Sometimes I feel like critics expect movies like this to have Oscar worthy performances but then complain when they don't meet expectation. I'll be going in to see this movie and expecting amazing fight scenes and a shirtless Rain that's all. Meet my exceptions and I will leave happy. Plain and simple.

Yes I got that from the trailer but i wasn't mad. I so want to this.
So much luv for this is happening, they are impressed with the cast as a whole. The effort everyone Rain/stunt fighters put is beyond amazing.
Geeker boys are excited very excited. I like fighting, well choreographed. [not trying to diss geeker boys but it's the truth]
Acting wize i think Rain does a really good job with the script. B
BTW I luv his english and his voice.
