B2ST′s Yong Jun Hyung and BTOB to Release OST for ′Monstar′ on May 24

The second OST piece for tvN, Mnet′s music drama Monstar will soon be released.

After Time Passes, the first single by B2ST Yong Jun Hyung and BTOB′s group ′Man in Black′, will be released through music sites on May 24.

The song previously appeared in the May 17 broadcast of Monstar, as Yong Jun Hyung listened to it after making it to his car to get out of the reach of overzealous stalker fans.



It eased the top star Seol Chan (Yong Jun Hyung)′s depressed mood, coming from his lack of privacy as a celebrity, and also in reality gathered attention online as viewers looked up the song on the web.

After Time Passes (listen to original here) is a remake of a song Postino, the British music director of Monstar, released in 2006. The song was rearranged for a more modern feel, retaining the original′s warm mood yet newly incorporating vintage sounds and booming drums. Yong Jun Hyung and BTOB′s voices especially make the song one anyone could relate to.

Director Kim Won Seok immediately took a liking to the song out of the many candidates to express Seol Chan′s emotions. His decision proved right, as After Time Passes got viewers asking about the song and demanding an official release.

The song will again appear in the May 24 broadcast of the drama after its release in an important scene.

Producers of Monstar commented, "We′ve been trying to touch the hearts of our viewers by showcasing many different songs in different genres with each episode, showing just why this drama is a music drama. We′ll be reinterpreting old Korean songs, and we will also release new songs written just for Monstar in the future."

I had been wondering how they managed to sing that song so in tune because I was so sure it was live but ahh now it makes sense. I was well impressed!! That kid playing Radio is amazing singing a song like that with all that emotion and crying and everything through it. NOT an easy job!

I really like that OST song "After Time Passes". So glad it's being released!

I thought first ep was alright and I loved the girl, but THEN THAT LAST SCENE. THAT LAST SCENE JUST BLEW ME AWAY. And to find out that it was done LIVE not a prerecording? I had to go rewatch them singing like the fifth time. The "radio" guy is such an amazing actor, to do all those expressions, have tears running down his face, and can still sing like that wow. I can't wait until second ep gets finished subbing!
