"Goddess of Fire Jeongi" has begun filming

"The Goddess of Fire, Jeongi" depicts the life and love of Yoo Jeong, the first woman who ever made ceramic in the Joseon Dynasty period. "The Goddess of Fire, Jeongi" will start airing July 1, and will air on Monday and Tuesday nights taking the spot currently occupied by "Gu Family Book".

The full cast includes; Moon Geun Young, Lee Sang Yoon, Park Geon Hyeong, Kim Bum, and Lee Gwang Soo as the adult actors. Jin Ji Hee, No Young Hak, and Park Gun Tae comprise the child cast.


According to King Kong Entertainment on May 7, Lee Kwang Soo will be taking the role of the bad-tempered Im Hae, the older brother of Gwang Hae. With Im Hae having an inferiority complex towards his younger brother, Lee Kwang Soo will act as a villain towards actor Lee Sang Yoon, who will play Gwang Hae.

“I have faith in writer Kwon Soon Kyu, who wrote SBS’ Warrior Baek Dong Soo and Park Sung Soo PD, who directed MBC’s Do As You Want,” said Lee Kwang Soo. “I was especially touched while watching Do As You Want, so it’s an honor to be part of Park Sung Soo PD’s projects.”

On being a villain, Lee Kwang Soo said he always wanted to be an antagonist and took the challenge when the offer came to him. He promised to prepare carefully to show a never-before-seen character.

I couldn't find much information about "Goddess of Fire, Jeongi" yet, but I am super excited by this cast and it sounds interesting. I might actually try to watch it as it airs which is a big deal for me!

I think I can actually totally see it re: Kwang Soo. Watching the 'traitor' side of his RM character, I feel like there's some ill temper and potential maliciousness there already. And considering his ability to play almost anything straight ... I don't really know what to expect either but I'm definitely anticipating it. :)

The drama going to be suck due to the inexperience scriptwriter. It's going to be uneven, under developed and bias towards good guys. Despite Warrior Baek Dong Soo has a really interesting premise and casts, it suffers badly for horrible scriptwriting. I'm expecting the same for this drama too.

BTW, is Kim Bum the second guy lead in this? Isn't it time he become the first lead already?
