Hyomin: "When I was in high school, there were rumors about me being an iljin. It was only beause I was friends with those type of kids in my neighborhood, but I wasn't anything more than that. There were also rumors that I had assaulted my friends and forced them to transfer out of the school. I never once hit anybody. I'd rather someone came forward and claimed themselves as a victim if that were the case." When asked about her transfer, "I transferred schools because it was a decision made by my mom who wanted me to study at a higher level school because I had such an ardor for it. It wasn't at all because I bullied anyone. The reason I never said anything about it at the time was because I didn't want anyone to make fun of my friends because of me."

Eunjung: "I can see why people would think of it as bullying if they only saw what was revealed online. But I also had my own bullying rumors. Between the two days that the scandal occurred, we did get into a fight with Hwayoung. I admit that it was wrong of us to use Twitter to publicly express ourselves like that. The fact that we posted those things on Twitter was wrong in and of itself. The longer we stayed quiet, the bigger the misunderstandings and the rumors got. At one point, even we wondered of we were bullies because the internet made it seem that way. I was always proud of the fact that I had lived without anything to be embarrassed of, so it was miserable for me to feel like I had become a horrible person."

Eunjung: "Whenever an article about us is released, there are a lot of hateful comments on them. I read them at first because I was curious but I can no longer read them because they make me feel so down."

Hyomin: "The hateful comment that upset me the most was when Soyeon unni was in a car accident and someone wrote, 'Just die.' They even claimed the accident was manipulated. The actual accident was serious enough so that Soyeon unni was hurled out of the car."

Hyomin: "After there was a fight in Japan, we had a 'Music Bank' schedule right after it. It was an awkward moment for us. We talked for about 40 minutes with Hwayoung in Korea. It was a stage that we had all dreamt of standing on and I didn't want to go on it with a fight."

Hyomin + Eunjung: "After the scandal, we had to make a public appearance. We couldn't say anything about it given the situation and it frustrated us to the point where it bothered us in our dreams. I just wanted to say two things: 'I'm sorry and I'll work harder.' If we had explained what had actually happened, the scandal would've gotten bigger. We wanted to tell the truth. We wanted to admit what was true and explain what was wrong and promise to reflect. But to the public, we became kids that did nothing."

Jiyeon: "Because we had already worked with each other for three years, I understand it might've been difficult for Hwayoung to fit in with the members. I bet it was hard for her to adjust to T-ara..."

Group: "If we had really hated Hwayoung, I don't think there would've even been a fight. But because of us, Hwayoung must've been really upset and lonely. Whatever the reason, we're just sorry that as public figures, we caused what we did."

2. [+868, -35] I don't even care about these explanations, just stop coming out on TV. It's obvious their tears are fake and a ploy for sympathy.

3. [+291, -11] Is she crazy? She just said she's sorry that Hwayoung couldn't adjust to T-ara... in less than a year ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Wow, they're worse than I thought

they admitted to their wrongdoing. they seem apologetic. and they seem to have learned from this already. hopefully they and hwayoung have patched things up.

also i think it's nice of hyomin to protect her friends.

Perfect comment.

If Hyomin was really not an iljin but just friends with some...well, being friends with people like these isn't that good either imo. Even if your friends act friendly around you, if they go around and do shit elsewhere, I wouldn't want to be friends with them.

This is such a mess, they should just shut it once and for all and leave this behind because they continue bringing contradicting information that doesn't help their case..

That just makes people (including me) suspicious, i was already over it and i know that many "evidence" was fake so we can´t tell what really happened, but the contradictions and that apology and mentioning what went down on twitter makes it very shady.

I feel like everyone was in the wrong here. Hwayoung probably never wanted to be in T-ARA she was supposed to be with her sister. She never brought much to the team so T-ARA didn't see a reason for her to be there coupled with the fact that she really didn't want to, so they never saw her as one of their own. So she never fit in. Frustrations built up with all of them until it exploded. KKS tried covering everything up instead of fixing his mistake because he was way past the point of no return. In short Hwayoung should've never been in T-ARA everyone knew it and nobody liked it while she was there. KKS effed up and hopefully they can all move past it now.

2. [+1,113, -55] It's suspicious how they answer as soon as they're asked a question, like it's all preplanned ㅋㅋ no shit, sherlock, everything is preplanned, lol.

Eh, I don't know. I'm still kind of iffy about this whole situation. We'll never know what truly happened, and that annoys me, lol. I saw the 'proof' of the bullying, and I agreed with it, but then I saw all the positive things that happened, and there is no denying that either. Though it is very possible those happy times were just her being herself. There are plenty of group projects I have done in class, not that it's anywhere near being in a girl group, where I had to work with people I've never met on an assignment and we talked like we've talked in class before, just because we had to for the assignment. Maybe Hwayoungs relationship with T-ARA was like that? I feel it was kind of like that situation. Hwayoung overall could have had a pretty bad time 'adjusting' as they say, and T-ARA probably did little to nothing to help her out, or Hwayoung rejected their help, and maybe they gave up. I wouldn't necessarily call that bullying, but it's possible to be seen that way; purposely leaving out someone because you don't want to deal with them. The only thing I'm super curious about was why the twitter scandal happened right before Hwayoung got kicked out. Was it planned, was it because of the twitter scandal she got kicked out? I'm just really curious. I'm just wondering if it's possible that it was true, that they didn't know she was being kicked out, and her not performing was her just not giving a shit, and T-ARA, being possibly distant, was their retaliation? I don't even know.

honestly, before this drama i never liked them as a group because to me they lacked a sense of unit, it was always obvious in my opinion that while they were a group they never really felt/thought themselves as one and i blame ccm and kks.

with all the group changes during pre and post debut, along with overworking, mistreatment and all the shady things from the company, they always made girls look out for themselves and never really trust in each other or the company.

to me it was easy to see who got along with who, maybe they don't hate each other, but like any other person they don't get along with everyone. for example jiyeon, eunjung and hyomin always seemed very close to me, but also seemed not very attached to the other girls, and like they had their own little clique.

while i think that they didn't outright bullied hwayoung, but i feel like they definitly didn't accept and embraced her into the group and probably isolated her from everything, and that can be just as cruel.

while i don't hate them for what happened, as they also seem to be the victims of the situation created by a poisonous environment, but i also find it hard to have compassion towards them, because while i kinda understand why it happened i think they could have acted differently.

[/end of an unnecessary long post that i probably read too much into it]

i don't see how leaving borderline bullying-type comments on every articles is making some ppl any better than t-ara themselves. how is combating bullying by bullying the abuser back really helping this situation. yes, t-ara/ccm deserves criticism. no, they don't deserve to be told to die or being called varying insults. anyone who works with bullying victims, abusers can say that it's not helpful or really 'payback'. most bullies are subject to their own insecurities to project onto others, you're just worsening it by giving them more to project, given how ccm operates with these girls pitted against each other i'm not surprised if these girls are very unstable, and probably not getting help for it. i do think t-ara is very in the wrong, but there's got to be a middle ground where people aren't stooping to their level.

They need to stop talking about it, no one believes them and rightfully so when it's really just he-said-she-said. Furthermore, the proof really isn't on their side. They actually have no evidence while at least people who think Hwayoung was bullied have circumstantial evidence. Hyomin's story about her childhood imo just paints her as a docile bystander, which actually makes bullying more probable.

All my opinions aside, where are their seniors to coach them on this, don't other idol group members only talk about this stuff 10 years later when no one cares?

They are basically CCM's senior idol group? Davichi and Seeya aren't really idols. Co-Ed/Gangkiz/Gavy NJ (dafuq is this name) are all junior to them. If you mean "where are the random other (older) idols they might know who might give them some guidance", I dunno, do they have experience with their CEO fucking everything up for them? (And not that CCM and FNC artists seem particularly close, but even there only FTI is more senior than T-ara....)

People working at CCM must be so god damn stupid. As with all interviews, I'm sure they had to review the script/decide what questions were appropriate to be asked on the show so I'm not sure why they're still letting the girls talk about this. And even if the question caught them off guard, I'd have made them steer the question in another direction. Anyone who isn't a t-ara fan wasn't going to believe them anyway, it's best if the topic wasn't brought up in the first place. It's like their company enjoys seeing them be the subject of verbal abuse.

Honestly, I think people are ignoring the biggest problem and that is KKS and CCM, while I don't think T-ara are completely innocent in the bullying scandal, I feel like most of the blame should be put on KKS, in a way his treatment of T-ara (overworking them, making them work in horrible conditions etc.) and him basically threatening the girls that he could easily get rid of them if he wanted, probably made any sort of teamwork the girls could of had non-existent, as they basically start treating each others as rivals than a team.

the problem was they never should have brought a personal argument to twitter and honestly, even though soyeon is not here, she comes across the worst to me as she was one of the elder members and the leader and should be intervening instead of joining up with the others and ganging up on hwayoung on twitter.

eunjung came across more sincere than the other two honestly.

Hyomin said she transferred for better studying environment, but the thing is Education Dept. for Seoul District (which is where she's lived since middle school) doesn't allow for transfer within the same district unless it's for suspension/expulsion, which leads to either forced or recommended transfer from the school.
