WJSN’s Yeonjung & Ladies Code’s Sojung Cast For “Lizzie” Musical

Yeonjung will be a cast of rock musical named "LIZZIE". That will be performed on March 24.

The two powerful vocalists will be apart of the “Lizzie” musical cast, a rock musical inspired by the infamous axe-murderer Lizzie Borden. J-Min, a soloist and musical actress herself will also be apart of the cast!

Ladies Code’s Sojung Performs on “Sing Again”, Receives The “All Again” Vote

“Sing Again” is a show where former idols and artists can show off their vocal talent again after their career has slowed down. Sojung sang “The Flight" by Yim Jae Bum. She received the All Again vote, which means every single judge voted to wanting to hear her sing again. Sojung, overwhelmed by the support, is moved to tears at the end of the clip. She’ll be moving on to the next round.

The lyrics of this song is very significant to her experience with the tragedy that occurred with her group (EunB and RiSe killed in car accident, Sojung herself sustained serious injuries in the crash) and rebuilding herself after that tragedy. I have the lyrics included under a cut. They’re worth a look to know how powerful this song is for her.

Flashback Friday

Every week I check the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to the 1st week of October, 2013. All the songs have been posted before so this time we’ll see some comeback stages.

#3 Kara “Damaged Lady”
The group spent most of 2013 with activities in Japan before coming back to Korea in the fall. This is the lead single from their “Full Bloom” album, the last Korean release with Nicole and Jiyoung. The other members had signed a 2 year contract renewal around this time. I thought that I didn’t remember this era at all, but looking at the live stages I do remember some of the choreography. Here’s their comeback stage at Inkigayo, they all look so fab!

Flashback Friday

Every week I check the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week we are going back to the 2nd week of August, 2013. Most of the songs have been posted before so we’ll check out some stage performances. I liked pretty much everything this week, maybe you did too.

#3 Crayon Pop “Bar Bar Bar”
I’m 7 years late, but I just learned that this is the original music video. The one in the theme park, the big viral video that I’m most familiar with, was the choreography version and came out a week and a half after this one. This is so low budget omg! Apparently the choreo MV only cost about $350 USD to make, so how much do you think this one cost? Like $75 tops for the snacks? Anyways, it’s nice to get the helmet origin story lol.
