"Mr. Queen" star Na In-woo to replace Ji Soo in "River Where the Moon Rises"

Actor Na In-woo, who rose to fame with his lead role in tvN's recent hit series "Mr. Queen," will replace Ji Soo in the historical series, "River Where the Moon Rises," after Ji was forced out over a bullying scandal.

TW! Actor Ji Soo accused of horrifying bullying + apology

Trigger warning: Graphic descriptions of abuse, bullying, assult ETC

- - -

On March 2, a post was uploaded to an online forum by someone accusing Ji Soo of being a perpetrator of school violence. The writer (hereafter referred to as “A”) stated that they went to the same middle school as Ji Soo from 2006 to 2008 and wrote, “Kim Ji Soo had a bigger build than the other kids his age at the time. Starting in his second year of middle school in 2007, he roamed the school as a delinquent and performed all sorts of bad deeds. The delinquents at the time, including Kim Ji Soo, were quite systematic. First of all, picking a fight with Kim Ji Soo and and the delinquents was unthinkable. If any member of that group experienced something even a little bit unpleasant, all of them would go and beat that person up, trampling over them in an insulting and thorough way.

Further (even worse) accusations followed:
(TW: sexual assult, more bullying etc) )

- - -

In response, the human trash bag Ji Soo posted a hand written apology on his IG today.

The actor’s full statement is as follows:

"I sincerely apologize to the people who suffered because of me.
There is no excuse for my past misconduct.
They were things that cannot be forgiven.

Admits to being a horrible person )

Trailer for Netflix's "My First First Love"

“My First First Love” is a romantic coming-of-age drama about love, friendship, and the dreams of youth. Ji Soo and DIA’s Jung Chaeyeon will star in the drama as college students Yoon Tae Oh and Han Song Yi, two close friends who have known each other for 20 years and whose relationship is strictly platonic. Jinyoung will star as Seo Do Hyun, Yoon Tae Oh’s best friend who develops feelings for Han Song Yi.

Kang Tae Oh and Choi Ri will also appear in the drama as Choi Hoon and Oh Ga Rin, a pair of amusingly unpredictable friends who leave home to pursue their dreams and end up living at Yoon Tae Oh’s house.

All 8 episodes of “My First First Love” premiere on Netflix on April 18.

If this plot sounds somewhat familiar to you, this drama has the same character names and plot as a drama from 2015 starring Minho, Kim Min Jae and Park So Dam. It seems to be a remake but there's been no articles that have mentioned it at all. Not a drama that needed this story told a second time in my opinion, but I really like some of these actors so I'll watch.

Ji Soo, Jung Chaeyeon and Jinyoung to star in Netflix drama

Netflix’s upcoming drama “Because It’s My First Love” is a coming-of-age story that explores university students’ experiences with first love. Ji Soo, DIA’s Jung Chaeyeon, and Jinyoung are confirmed to make up the main cast.

Ji Soo will be starring as Yoon Tae Oh, a college freshman majoring in business administration. Although Yoon Tae Oh appears to have it all—looks, wealth, and enrollment at a prestigious university—he secretly feels alienated and lonely because of his unhappy home environment. He later falls in love with a female friend, Han Song Yi (Jung Chaeyeon, who ends up living with him due to her personal circumstances.

Jung Hyun Jung of “Five Children” and “Discovery of Love” and Kim Min Seo of “Little Black Dress” participated in writing the script, while director Oh Jin Suk of “Yong Pal”, "Modern Farmer" and “Goddess of Marriage” will be directing the drama.

“Because It’s My First Love” is planned for eight episodes, and is set to be released sometime in 2019.

Love you, Ji Soo, but I am not too excited about this. SWDBS showed a lot of his weaknesses as an actor and I don't think he'll do great on an OCN show, but on the positive side we get a Moon Lovers prince bros reunion.
