Robbing tourists is like national past time there. I was there once only few days but kinda lost count how many times someone attempted to rob me there (as almost albino white blonde girl I was really easily spotted as tourist there), though luckily for me they were all failed attempts as I'm overzealous of my handbag.

I swear to God, I was so careful but the second to last night, I put my purse down for like a second (turned my back) and BOOM, it was gone like that. I couldn't freaking believe it. It had all my money, credit cards, and the kicker, my passport in there -- including some money and credit cards belonging to two of my girl friends. So, I spent the next day in the U.S. embassy and the police stations, where they weren't too helpful. In fact, the police officer was hitting on me and I was like, "You have got to be kidding me. I'm sitting here crying and freaking out, and you want to take me on a date?!?!?" I was so appalled. I never want to experience that again. Absolutely dreadful.
Paris and Barcelona on definitely at the top of my list of places I NEVER want to step foot in again. =x
