Super Junior’s member Donghae has been baking cakes for the past 3 months. Donghae has been learning how to bake from a patissier for the past 3 months in order to act Go Seungji, a genius patissier of Channel A’s new drama ‘Ms. Panda and Hedgehog’.
Despite the busy schedule, Donghae has been learning from a real patissier to perfect his role. As a result, he is able to bake with patience and delicacy. Many staffs and actress Yoon Seungah have been impressed with Donghae’s cute creations.
To this Donghae said, “Making a cake is a very delicate work. I ask the patissier what I should focus on and practice frequently. I hope learning to bake will help with acting. Please anticipate.”
A staff also said, “Donghae has shown much affection for his role of patissier Go Seunji, as he practiced baking during his waits while filming. Please anticipate Donghae’s transformation into an impressive patissier.”
This romantic comedy drama is about a romance between a picky patissier Go Seungji, who creates cake like magic, and Ms. Panda, an owner of cake shop with a profit of 0 dollars. This cute drama will air its first episode on the 18th of next month.

Yup my bias is showing.

Date: 2012-07-18 01:55 am (UTC)I'm curious as well. I haven't seen it yet. I'm always wary towards T-dramas not starring Jerry Yan or Vanness Wu LOL but Hae and Siwonnie is always a good reason to watch. How was the lead actress? I find that an annoying and unlikable lead actress distracts me from enjoying the drama..

Date: 2012-07-18 03:16 am (UTC)- the dubbing wasn't as bad once i watched a few episodes. i didn't even notice the voice over person change.
- skip beat is kinda cracky and not a serious drama at all. it is pure wacky when it comes to some things. its like the anime which has jumped to living people. it goes into dream sequences/fantasy sequences.
- the lead actress. i do like ivy. but her character....i wanted to push off the cliff sometimes. it does get toned down later on...but still the character is exhausting.
- overall i did like it. i saw the anime and liked it. i wanted to read the manga but i'm to cheap to buy it and bugs me to read it online. i do hope there is a second season.

Date: 2012-07-18 03:25 am (UTC)it's very comical, like the animie itself brought to life. i thought Hae was good....i'm trying my best not to be biased.
i'm curious about the manga...is there more interaction with Hae's character and the lead (i can't remember the japanese names from the manga/anime) after she finishes the drama with his rival?

Date: 2012-07-18 04:41 am (UTC)Well, not really. It is a really slow-paced manga and it focuses more on Kyoko's development as an actress and her relationship with fellow actor, Ren. The drama shown in the T-series is just one of their many "acting" exercises. The character of Donghae plays a sort of catalyst that brings to the surface the jealousy of Ren (Siwon) and the mixed feelings of Kyoko on her past with Sho (Donghae). We do have some cute "cat and mouse" type of scenes between the two of them though especially with the recent manga release.

Date: 2012-07-18 05:11 am (UTC)someone please show me him all manly and taking charge cuz i am still scarred.
pick and choose?
Date: 2012-07-18 09:39 am (UTC)they're playing broken telephone but with dancing and henry's teaching Hae the dance, except Henry's already dancing it wrong, so Hae decides to teach everyone a new dance xD
and I guess there's always the I Wanna Love You Donghae:
Or the gyrating Nice and Slow Donghae all up in a fangirl's face, again, idk why only Chinese fans get this Donghae while Korean fans get awkward shy Donghae:
Idk if you've seen Donghae in It's Okay Daddy's Girl, he had some "manly" scenes:
Idk if you've seen Donghae in Skip Beat... but this was the only scene I could find on youtube that wasn't removed:

Date: 2012-07-19 03:49 am (UTC)yeah! why is it he's like that only in China/Taiwan!
but i still think he's hella awkward hahaha
cuz i mean, he was performing at the concert and acting so i'm guessing if he really reallly liked a girl, he would not know what to do with himself. i just cringe at his awkwardness...but i suppose everyone is like that in front of the person they like(:
Re: pick and choose?
Date: 2012-07-19 08:30 am (UTC)but i guess i find his awkwardness on wgm kinda refreshing. from his actions in the music videos (like supergirl) and how charismatic he is in China/Taiwan (I had only seen SJM stuff prior to SJ stuff), I always pegged him for a player or a lady's man. and while I'm sure it might be true in real life (the ladies fawning over him), i was surprised and kinda glad to see him so awkward on wgm. though at times it was painfully awkward, but his awkwardness was my amusement xD
tho tbh, wgm itself as a show is all sorts of awkward. idg having people pretend they're married ...
