VIXX to star in new MTV 'Diary' show, Ravi praised by Park HyoShin

Rookie boy group VIXX will be continuing their efforts to get closer to their fans and the public, by featuring in MTV‘s idol real variety program, ‘Diary‘.

Fans are looking forward to the boys starring in the show as the six members have incredibly different personalities and charms. While Leader N is considered the team’s mother due to his caring and detailed personality, main vocalist Leo has the image of the team’s father for his quiet, but stern personality. Leo actually has a contrasting side where he falls apart in front of babies and puppies.

Ken has earned attention in the past for his many personal talents, while rapper Ravi has been having his MC skills spotlighted, for his ability to come up with witty remarks.

Se7en look-alike Hongbin is often teased for being able to turn anything into a pictorial thanks to his handsome looks, while Hyuk is the much-loved maknae, who’s energetic in all that he does.

Having shown their growth and debut through their real survival show, ‘Mydol‘, the boys are aiming to now let their personalities shine through ‘Diary’.

Other featured stars will include MYNAME, JJ Project, and BtoB on the June 25th broadcast.

VIXX‘s Ravi showed his admiration for Big Bang‘s Taeyang after receiving praise from legendary singer Park Hyo Shin. On the June 19th broadcast of MBC Music‘s ‘Show Champion‘, host Kim Shin Young introduced VIXX’s rapper Ravi saying, “He’s received high praise from Park Hyo Shin.”

She went on to explain, “After Park Hyo Shin saw Ravi’s performance, he said, ‘If he practices hard and trains well, he can be better than Big Bang’s Taeyang.’”

Shindong chimed in, “Why don’t you send a video message to Taeyang?” Ravi turned to the camera and said, “Sunbae, I love you.  I respect you,” which brought smiles to those gathered.

VIXX is the first idol group to come out of Jellyfish Entertainment, home to ballad singers like Sung Si Kyung and Park Hyo Shin. The group is currently receiving a lot of attention for their debut track “Super Hero“.

I was confused by that too but since Park Hyoshin is under the same company as VIXX I figure he's actually heard him sing before. They've said a lot about their singing skills as a group but really only Ken/Leo have shown us anything worth writing home about. Hopefully it's not all hype or PR and they're just not showing all their cards yet.
