omonatheydid | SM to hold global audition to find the next TVXQ

SM Entertainment, representative BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, and f(x), will hold a global audition.

SM will hold auditions in 15 cities in 5 countries, including Korea, China, the United States, Canada, and Japan, starting from January 7 through March 24 in 2012. They are looking for the next big entertainer during the auditions.

The auditions will be held in Busan on January 7, Daegu on January 8, Daejeon on January 14, Gwangju on January 15, and in Seoul on January 28 and 29. The Chinese and US auditions will be held in February and the Canadian and Japanese auditions will be held in March.

Since singers from SM Entertainment are very popular all over the world, many people are eagerly anticipating the audition.

The Japanese people are very excited about the auditions because this is the first time SM has held open audition in Japan.

People from any country regardless of sex and age are eligible for the audition and winners will have the opportunity to sign a contract with SM. SM will also cover 100 percent of the cost for the new entertainer.

It's the title of the article SYC. Maybe they're trying to imply that SME is trying to find the next big thing or something that goes along those lines. ._.

Do applicants still have to know how to speak Korean? I keep hearing about it, and even Zhoumi said so before, but he Henry, Amber, Victoria, Han Geng, and even Tiffany couldn't speak Korean when they got in.

about the chinese audition, I'm really curious as to what extent did geng's lawsuit affect the turnout? probably not very significant but nonetheless..

also, sm, it ain't a global audition if you don't include europe. we know you're targetting asians even if you're trying not to make it obvious XD

because there are millions of very sentimental cassies whose childhood revolves around them and nothing would ever replace them in their memories.

But there is a problem with that SME...you will never, ever find another group like TVXQ. They were/are special for a reason! ^-^

I'm so jealous of everyone that can audition. No, not get in or anything like that (if you get in though, I'll be very happy for you), but just becuase they had the chance. Even I was the right age (you know 10-15. Not that I'm old, I'm 22 which is not old, just way passed the age they would want), nobody was auditioning anywhere near me. I know I'd probably fail, but at least I have the chance for it.

le sigh I think I'm too old for the girl group concept haha~ no auditions for me~

SM can you just debut that boy group with the Korean, Chinese, and Japanese members?
