Netizens have quickly been trying to put the pieces together. For example, is it any coincidence that his sudden departure from SBS’s popular variety program, Family Outing, was announced this week? Park Ye Jin had the legitimate excuse of having to work seven days a week on Queen Seon Duk and a film. Lee Chun Hee is not quite as busy. Could it be possible that SBS was the one who chose not to renew his contract?

Secondly, it’s extremely risky for a major station such as SBS to put up such an obvious visual profile (despite the censor) of Lee Chun Hee and accuse him of taking drugs. We don’t think they would have opened themselves up to potential litigation and bad press if there was any chance of being wrong.

Thirdly, Lee Chun Hee is connected with both Ju Ji Hun and Ye Hak Young. Ju Ji Hun appeared on Yoo Jae Suk & Kim Won Hee’s Come to Play, broadcast on November 10, 2008. On the show, he said how Lee Chun Hee doesn’t swear, but Ju once offended him enough to cause him to swear and throw clothes on the bed – in the home Lee Chun Hee share(s/d) with Ye Hak Young. Lee and Ye have known each other for awhile from belonging to the same agency.

On the flip side – innocent until proven guilty! Remember the fiasco with actor-model Im Ju Hwan wrongfully being accused? Despite having the same name and being connected to Ye Hak Young, it wasn’t him. Most netizens are expressing disbelief that Lee Chun Hee could be involved with drugs. Lee has built up a wholesome image this past year on Family Outing, even earning the name Chunderella (after Cinderella). Many are outraged that SBS would make such a blatant accusation without waiting for official confirmation from the police.

you obviously have never been devastated by the effects of a drug addiction.

Yeah it's okay as long as smuggling all the drugs and selling them and using them was an accident.

Don't you ever accidentally bring hundreds of ecstasy pills into another country and think oops my bad, how did these get here?

I think it's really unfortunate that drug use has such a negative stigma attached to it in Korea. These people do not deserve to have their careers ruined. In my opinion, America and Europe both have much healthier attitudes [socially] towards drug use. While it isn't condoned, users aren't shamed into hiding from the public eye. These sorts of mistakes don't ruin lives, and people can recover their health and their careers. Yes, drugs are bad, but shunning an individual and taking their livelihood from them does not solve anything.

I hope ChunHee is innocent, and I still think that JiHoon is a good actor who doesn't deserve to be shut out of his job. It's things like this that make me glad that I live where I do.

seriously - concerning some more recent articles, korean press is turning into something like the sensationalist writing we find so often in chinese press.

Even if it's not true, it could be potentially damaging to his career. :( Things like "Wasn't he the one who did drugs?" will float around for those who don't follow news that much. Aish.
