i've always wanted to love cignature because of the goodday members but never liked any of their songs before but that has now changed!!! i love this song soooo much! it's very much my style, the mellow verses and stripped back instrumental are so good, its giving me the chic vibes cix discography has but still retains some cuteness and i would not hate it if they kept going in this direction.

as for the rest of the album it feels a lot more like their older stuff, my diary and villain are okay, i like climax and sirius is pretty! there is just something about these girls voices to me suit slower songs soooo much more when normally i'm obsessed with the bubblegum sound it just doesn't work for them for me personally.

Well I don't like this as much as their previous singles but its not unlistenable. Mostly its just not my style and thats entirely subjective. My brain actually was immediately going "boyfriend~ boyfriend~" as soon as the song ended so its def. got some catchy earworm bits going on. I feel like musically this is a "we lost our main vocalist" song because it isn't super vocally complicated. But tbh when I saw them do their old songs live the other members were covering the parts so well you would think they wouldn't have to worry.

It 100% sounds like it belongs on western radio. Maybe they'll get some more international fans!

It’s extremely western influenced, like I can easily hear this on the radio.

Which to say that is not a compliment. This is the type of sound that bored me so much and pushed me more in the direction of kpop and just exploring more different types of music since the pop scene here got really drab when party and edm music declined.

So this is not bad but it has that very generic element to it like pop music here. Maybe I’ll give it another chance but meh lol. I’m glad they put some effort into the MV though so it wasn’t too nugu. I do think Arisong wasn’t the right direction for them but also this isn’t it for me either. Maybe something in the middle could work.

the talk singing in the verses is somehow v reminiscent of t*yl*r sw*ft for me (and at the same time, bp??? idek). i like it but i wish there's more oomph to it, more assa and less arisong.

I thought it was very similar to Hayley Kiyoko's music, especially with the overlaying ah-ha bits in the verses. This is one of the most 'Western' sounding songs I've heard from Kpop in awhile. Though to be fair I am a sucker for this genre so I will gladly listen to it 😂
