It’s Friday! Every week I check the charts for this day in the past and post the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to see what we were listening to in the 2nd week of March, 2015. Duos take the honorable mentions this week. I try to work in a little theme whenever I can.



#3 4Minute “Crazy”
I always feel like I’m in the minority when I say I didn’t really like this song, because everyone seems to love it lol. This is the lead single from the EP of the same name. I remember bits and pieces from this era. Like I think one of them was in charge of styling this era? Anyone else remember that? The song would peak at #3 on the charts, and win 7 music show trophies. It would end up the group’s last big hit song.

#2 Naul “You From The Same Time”
I’m sure I’ve posted this MV before, because when you put type this in to YouTube you get this music video and like a hundred thousand covers. So many people cover this song lol! This was a solo song from Naul for his group’s “Brown Eyed Soul Single Project”, an EP filled with solos from each member of the group. The music video stars actor Yoo Seung Ho.

#1 Niel featuring Dok2 “Lovekiller”
This was his debut solo single, and the first single from his EP “oNIELy”. Was he the first Teen Top member to have a solo release? I don't remember this at all. The MV features former Teen Top member L.Joe.

#5 Zion.T & Crush “Just”
This collaboration between the two would debut at the top spot on the charts. And of course it did, it’s so good. Perhaps it’s on my “bathtub and chill” playlist. This was the only song from their joint EP “Young”.The song would win best collaboration at MAMA that year.

#9 15& featuring Kanto “Love Is Madness”
This was the duo’s last song together. After this release, they would go into a 4 year hiatus, ending in 2019 with their contracts expiring. I don’t remember an official disbandment announcement from JYPE? Just both of them leaving. The song did well though, it would peak at #2. It features the vocals of Kanto from Troy. Crazy was so iconic, I remember this was when Cube said they were going to drop 4Minute if Crazy failed. So wild how successful this song was. I think also just the whole strong women/ "I don't give a shit" attitude/vibe was really on the rise so everyone ate this song up. I think I only enjoy the song live though, the adlibs from Hyuna and Jiyoon make or break the song imo. Either way the girls were hot and Jihyun was finally getting love rather than hate so I was all there for it even though I wasn't really a 4nia

I'm part of the majority bc I personally LOVED Crazy! I remember watching each and every music show performance of that song and it remains one of my favourite Kpop comebacks ever! I'm still so bitter about the way 4minute went out when they had so much charisma and potential. CUBE didn't even try. They never do tho.

Gayoon took part in the styling for Crazy! I remember vividly disliking those godawful cropped pants, bleh otoh I lived for Hyunas curly hair, so fresh!

Lovekiller is still a great song, I loved Niels solo music a lot && he's definitely talented

I'm still always wtf about 15& and how they were managed but they both have great solo careers and are releasing great music so I guess it worked out

OP, the Lovekiller MV didn't have L.Joe in it. His name just popped up on the phone as someone who was calling Niel's love interest in the video lol.

Lovekiller is still such a great song, one of the gems Black Eyed Pilseung worked on for Niel and Teen Top. That funky guitar in the background *chef's kiss*. I always say this but Niel is highly underappreciated, an awesome vocalist and dancer. In an ideal world he would have been a contender for the top male idol soloist alongside Taemin.

crazy remains one of my favorite 4minute songs/eras, honestly. sometimes i wish that had been the song they went out with instead of hate. 🥴

i love that 15& song. it's a shame that they were mismanaged but it worked out for the best imo, since they're both out there just doing their own thing now.

Im part of the majority because I really loved CRAZY. All 5 members looked amazing and oozing with charisma. Thing is...I really liked most of 4minute's title song since their debut lol They also tried different things but I always liked what they released (but I dont think they ever tried girly cute).

I remember I liked Crazy especially since JIhyun also got a proper longer part. I was just a casual listener so I might remember wrong, but it seemed like she didn't get a lot of parts/spotlight so I remember feeling bad for her.
