VIXX's N leaves Jellyfish Entertainment and joins 51K

On November 3rd, it was shared by SportsDonga that VIXX's leader N (Cha Hakyeon) has decided to not renew his contract after 8 years with the company following contract expirations. N is shared to have joined 51K and is in the final stages of joining the management. 51K is home to So Jisub and 2PM's Ok Taecyeon. It is expected that N will likely be working towards becoming an actor similarly like 2PM's Ok Taecyeon who has moved to the agency to focus on his acting career.

N who had made his military enlistment last March and had joined the band recently was discharged on October 7th and plans to focus on his acting career. N made his acting debut in 2014 with "Hotel King" on MBC, later appearing in OCN's "Tunnel" in 2017, and tvN's "아는 와이프 (Familiar Wife)" in 2018. N also played an important supporting role in "붉은 달 푸른 해 (Red Moon Blue Sun)" that was released last year.

N made his debut May 2012 through boy group VIXX. N has appeared in many forms of entertainment within the industry including singing, acting, and varieties.

Jellyfish Entertainment confirmed that VIXX's N has decided not to renew his contract following contract expiration on October 31st. N will however, still remain in VIXX and take part in VIXX activities.

apparently they're doing better now because of road to kingdom, but still not as impactful as other large 4th gen groups such as the boyz and stray kids

Jellyfish was too small for Ravi's work and ambitions lol as much as i don't like his rap, his hustle is admirable. He knows how to network really well to compared to the other VIXX members (except for Hakyeon)

ooof, I have only seen him in Cheer Up and he was rough. Like, makes me think focusing on acting is a bold choice.

I don't think he was particularly bad in Cheer Up, but he definitely wasn't the standout for me in that drama lol Tbh, I barely remember how his acting was since it's been a while since I watched it ._.

=( not really a super fan of VIXX but 2012 rookies has a special place in my heart so this is kinda sad for me. They said they'll continue as VIXX but I know its going to be hard.

Everyone seems to think Hongbin was kicked out of Jelpi/VIXX due to shooting his drunken mouth off earlier in 2020, but I think he shot his mouth off *because of* the problems which eventually led him to leave. N's departure makes me think there might be something to my little theory.

I think its bc he was over the idol life. Hes not very good at anything tbh lol, singing, dancing, or acting. He never tried to improve in the last few years like Hyuk and N have. The scandal happened months before he left, i doubt Jellyfish cared. And he re signed his contract prior to that.

Wow this makes me a lot sadder than I thought, I was never a really serious fan of VIXX but liked a lot of their music and videos and they were such unique and charismatic performers. I’m happy that N made the right decision for himself, but sad that this is likely more or less the end for them as a group. Holding out hope we’ll see them on stage again one day 🥺

I can understand why he's leaving, Jellyfish has been slowly going downhill and doesn't seem to be able to manage anyone correctly... I hope he can actually promote with the rest of VIXX again but it just seems unlikely at this point.
