yay!! f(x) is the group that got me into kpop, i still love their discography and style so much! when i first saw them as a group, i thought it was so interesting to see a more andogynous idol like amber in an industry that is so hyperfeminine overall.
their styling was my fave during rumpumpum (krystals hair was everything! the plaid!) 4walls (the glitter! the bell bottoms!) and all night (the retro! luna's white baret!). their choreographies were also always so fun, nu abo's makeup dance especially.
and their discography... just so good - truly one of the few kpop groups to me where i would listen to most of the b-sides. mr boogie? when i'm alone? airplane? rude love? milk, butterfly? sweet witches? all mine??? luna's solo album free somebody was so solid too.
the group got so much random hate, especially because i feel they weren't really made to be a true idol group for some reason.
for me, there's no kpop group like them. i've always hoped that they would come back for a reunion, but with sulli's passing (which i've noticed i still haven't truly accepted) and the rest of the members being over the idol lifestyle, i doubt it unfortunately.
