Big Hit Entertainment named 'Investment Company of the Year' at the Korea VC Awards 2018

On December 5, the Korean fund of funds operating agency Korea Venture Investment Corp. recognized venture capital (VC) leaders at the Korea VC Awards 2018 in Seoul.

Big Hit received the Investment Company of the Year award for high quality job creation and its great contributions to improving the rate of return on fund of funds (also referred to as multi-manager investments).

Big Hit’s CFO Kwon Yong Sang stated, “Big Hit Entertainment has tried to be an innovative company within the entertainment industry through high standards and consistent improvement,” and went on to thank their investors.

Big Hit Entertainment was started by Bang Shi Hyuk in 2005, and currently houses BTS and Lee Hyun. It was recently announced that the agency will be debuting a new boy group next year.

It's almost weird to think that behind BTS is this army of people who 'create' them, like enough to build this huge company and win awards for 'high quality job creation' and an investment award.
