Sunye is pregnant with 3rd child

On September 21, Polaris Entertainment announced that Sunye, who recently confirmed a comeback to the entertainment industry, is expecting her third child. The agency began, “we want to deliver a great news with Chuseok (the upcoming holiday in South Korea) ahead of us.”

They continued, “Sunye is currently pregnant with her third child. Both the mother and the baby are in very healthy state. The family is expecting the child to arrive next January.”

The singer debuted in 2007 as a member of Wonder Girls under JYP Entertainment. After 6 years of continuous activities, she married her husband in January of 2013 and officially left the entertainment industry. Ever since then, she has been living in Canada.

Earlier in the year, she appeared in JTBC’s “Stranger” and updated her fans on her life in Canada as a mother of two children. A few months later, in August, 2018, Sunye announced to make a comeback to the industry and signed an exclusive contract with Polaris Entertainment.

It turns out Sunye was already pregnant when she signed the contract with Polaris Entertainment, and the agency was also well-aware of the situation. For the sake of the singer and the child, the agency decided to wait until announcing the pregnancy.

A source from the company said, “we had already said the details on the singer’s comeback schedule will take a while to formulate when we announced to have signed a contract with Sunye. That was because she was pregnant at the time. For now, she will focus on her family. Afterwards, we will carefully examine further schedule regarding her promotions.”

I know people who are involved in the Korean Evangelical community in Toronto and they’re messy as hell, not to say that Sunye is like them (or even evangelical.. idk what kind of Christian she is), but the people I know are racist, sexist, misogynistic, and extremely homophobic. They get their superficially nice act down to the T. I stopped talking to one of them bc they refused to send their kids to public school bc they didn’t believe in sex ed. I was like... good luck to raising your kids to the bigots they’ll eventually be.

Alright girl. People treating her pregnancy like some death knell or irresponsible action. It’s a damn baby and it’s weird. Unless Polaris gave her a sizable advance (which has been unheard of in K pop anyway), they are not losing out on anything.
