Kehlani Gives Shoutout To MAMAMOO’s Wheein After Seeing Her Message
August 2, Kehlani gave a shoutout to MAMAMOO’s Wheein after seeing Wheein’s message to her.
Wheein expressed her desire to collaborate with Kehlani and said, “Hi Kehlani, I like you and your music. One day, I hope to have the opportunity to see you perform, whether in a performance or a concert. I’ll always support you and like you, so please continue to make great music. Thank you.”
In response, Kehlani said, “Awww, thank you Wheein! It’s coming!! Hope to meet you soon.”
Kehlani has in the past responded to other K-pop idols who have expressed their love for the American artist, including Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, who declared Kehlani her favorite American artist, and BTS’s RM and V, who said Kehlani was a big musical influence for them.
Hwasa Reveals She Wants To Collab With Chungha
After Chungha’s declaration that she wants to collaborate with MAMAMOO’s Hwasa on a dance track, the MAMAMOO member reciprocated, saying that she would like the same!
On a V Live broadcast on August 1, Hwasa said she wants to do a lot of collaborations with other artists. “I’m thinking about it now. About which artist would be a good match for me.” She went on to say that she would like to work with Chungha. “I like how she’s always putting her all into her performances. If the opportunity arises, I’d like to perform with her.”
Solar talked about how she diets prior to a comeback. She said, “I diet for about a week before our song comes out. Once the song is out, we have a lot of promotions and we’re very active, so that’s when I start to eat as I normally do.”
Naming their favorite foods, Hwasa said grilled pork belly (samgyeopsal) is something she has to have when she has a craving. Wheein likes chicken feet, while Solar is a fan of kimbap with spicy rice cakes. Moonbyul said, “I like the fried rice that they make after having yang daechang (grilled mix of tripe and large intestine). Even if you had no appetite, it’ll bring it back.”
The group also talked about their overall vision for their career, and said, “We just want to do music for a very long time, healthily and happily. It’s really hot these days, so everyone’s energy is a bit low, but our dream is just to stay healthy and happy and make music.”
MAMAMOO Sells Out Upcoming Concerts In Just 2 Minutes
Tickets for MAMAMOO’s upcoming concerts sold out in the blink of an eye!
On July 30 at 8 p.m. KST, tickets went on sale for MAMAMOO’s third solo concert in Seoul. In keeping with the group’s “Four Seasons Four Colors” project, which began with their spring mini album “Yellow Flower” and continued with their summer release “Red Moon,” the upcoming “4 Season S/S” concerts will feature performances with the themes of spring and summer.
Within just two minutes of the tickets’ release, both of MAMAMOO’s upcoming Seoul concerts had completely sold out, proving the group’s continuing popularity. The concerts, which will be held on August 18 and 19 at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul, are the group’s first solo concerts since their “ Curtain Call” concert last year.
MAMAMOO also recently announced that they would be holding a concert tour in Japan this October, as part of their upcoming official Japanese debut.
The group is currently promoting their new mini album “Red Moon,” featuring the hit title track “Egotistic.”
