Rania Announces Yumin’s Departure And June Comeback
Rania is gearing up for their comeback!
On May 30, the group’s agency DR Music revealed that they are preparing for a June comeback. The statement shares that the new album will include three new songs and five remakes of previous songs. They will then travel to Malaysia and Brazil for promotions and are planning to release a “Rania Best Album” in August.
In addition to the exciting news however, the statement also announces the departure of Yumin. The agency explains that Yumin has “recently been faced with circumstances that make it increasingly hard for her to follow the extremely demanding team schedule” and asks for the understanding of fans on not being able to share further details.
“Please keep cheering for both Yumin as well as our other Rania members. Your support and love mean incredibly much to them,” the statement concludes.

anyway. I checked with their staff and they confirmed that Rania won't be having Korean promos in June. they'll go to Malaysia and Brazil and then have Korean promos in August.. though this is DR Music so as always take with a shitload of salt. don't even know what they'll be promoting anyway, if the new songs are coming out in June but the best-of album comes out in August?? who even fucking knows with this fucking company.
they also introduced a new Thai member named Namfon who's supposedly 16. she looks so innocent and clearly doesn't know what she got into, I feel for her.. no word on whether she'll join the members on tour or not. the fandom's already adopted her but I really hope she'll be like the other trainees who drop out before debut because SIXTEEN?! she has her whole life ahead of her, don't fucking waste it in this company.

so they are having a comeback, but not promoting their song in korea to focus on their concerts in Malaysia and Brazil? i'm not surprised that their agency is doing this
because they're shit that's whybut they (and i mean the group) should focus ore on getting a stronger fanbase in korea, and that means promotions. god, dr music is such a mess and a half.i saw the picture of namfon, and she's too sweet & adorable to be with dr music. like whyyyyyy? RUN GIRL RUUUUUUUN.

I think they were really preparing for a proper June comeback in Korea before the Malaysia and Brazil tours, but with this sudden Yumin setback their plans had to change quickly. can you believe they had FOUR promotion cycles last year? (two of those songs sucked but still)
I think they've given up on building a Korean fanbase and so have I.. it's just not gonna happen. they attract casual uncle fans but it's hard to find hardcore kfans. it's really strange given that they're so easy to 'access' (for lack of a better word) and they get really friendly with fans. not that I'd inflict the shittiness of this fandom experience on anyone though :/ I feel for that one Yumin fangirl who just got into Yumin/Rania not long ago.. she showered a lot of affection on Yumin and vice versa :(
