South Korean actor Ma Dong-seok, also known as Don Lee, said Friday that his character Gilgamesh in the upcoming superhero movie "Eternals" reflects his unique personality and signature action style.
"Since the zombie thriller 'Train to Busan' (2016) was released about five years ago, I've received some offers from Hollywood," he said during an online press conference with Korean media. "A few years ago, I got a call from a casting director of 'Eternals' after I lost some projects due to my schedules."
"Eternals" is the latest Marvel Studios' film about the Eternals, a group of an immortal superheroes who fight against their evil counterparts, the Deviants, to protect Earth after thousands of years of hiding.

Kim, 42, a Seoul-based office worker, was surprised to learn that her 12-year-old daughter already knew the whole story of the Netflix original series "Squid Game," although she did not allow her to watch the series.
The daughter said she saw many scenes of the R-rated series on YouTube because she was curious about the series, which "almost everybody" talks about ― not only adults but also all her friends at school.
Lee, 39, another office worker in Seoul, said his six- and four-year-old children wanted to have "dalgona," or the sugar candy, because it's from the "Squid Game." He was surprised that his children knew the connection between the candy and the R-rated drama they were never allowed to watch, but bought them the treat anyway.
"Squid Game" is the latest global craze and children here are not free from the phenomenon. It is R-rated and can only be viewed after age certification, but children can easily watch short clip videos on YouTube and TikTok.

Every week I go through the charts for this day in the past and share the top three songs. Then I pick out two more from the top ten as honorable mentions. This week, we are going back to the 4th week in October, 2012. Ladies take the top three this week, so I let the fellas have the honorable mentions.

The well loved musical written by Stephen Trask and John Cameron Mitchell tells the story of a genderqueer rock singer from East Germany who seeks to live a new life through music. The Korean premiere in 2005 has since drawn many dedicated fans and audiences over the years, and this will be the show's 13th season! The current rotation stars Cho Seung woo, Oh Man Seok, Lee Kyu Hyung, Ko Eun Sung, and Ren from Nu'est each taking turns in the lead role of Hedwig (This is actually the show's seventh season with Cho and he's definitely a huge fan favorite).
Hedwig premiered at the Chungmu art center on July 30th and will run until October 31st. Click below for more moody lighting, feather boas, disco balls and glam rock aesthetics!
