Lee Hyori’s hilarious music video on the HahaMong Show

After SBS HahaMong Show aired a pilot broadcast last May, the producers went through a lot of stress and struggles as it didn’t become a regular show.

However, things are starting to look up as the HahaMong Show got a regular timeslot every Sunday, from the 4th!

Sadly, the controversy of MC Mong dodging military service just so happened to spill out right before the scheduled first broadcast. Adding on, the appearance of Lee Hyori as a guest, who has been recently impacted with plagiarism allegations and is temporarily taking a break from shows, further called for netizens to bash and criticize the show only after its first broadcast.

However nothing could stop Hyori’s rap music video, which was revealed on this episode, as she is being flooded with a lot of positive reactions.

During this episode, Hyori honestly confessed various things ranging from her last relationship to “urgently using my socks after taking a dump while mountain-climbing,” coolly sharing these embarrassing stories.

Along with her honest talks, Hyori stood alongside with Haha as the directors and they were able to successfully produce this hilarious music video with the helps of the cameo appearances of Gil, Kang Ji Sub, Kim Na Young, and Jung Si Ah.

Hinting at some of the many humorous parts in this music video, in response to Hyori’s Korea ’sibling’ status with Yoo Jae Suk, she shouted “I’m going to step on top of him and rise high”, and in response to her scandal she confessed, “At least two (songs) were real, I hope there will be matters for the rest,” and she also gave a warning to the rising idol stars such as SNSD, Wonder Girls, KARA, and Son Dambi by stating, “You guys aren’t ready yet.”

CNN names the ‘South Korea’s 20 hottest male celebs’

Jang DongGun, Bae YongJoon, Joo JinMo, Jo InSung are some of the Korean artistes picked by American CNN as ‘South Korea’s 20 hottest male celebs’.

The list was revealed through an online bulletin board on 2nd July. CNN wrote, “ These specially chosen South Korean celebs, who we’ve selected purely on the basis of how much drool they elicited from the female members of our staff, no doubt have solid acting, modeling and/or singing skills. 4minute's Jiyoon and Hyuna Express Their Love for Orange Caramel

After School's subgroup named Orange Caramel has been receiving a lot of attention from viewers as well their co-Idols. It has been reported that a lot of people now were doing parodies of their debut single: Magic Girl, including Heechul's Peanut Caramel and recently, 4Minute's own version of the dance.

4Minute had been watching their live performances since their debut since both groups were doing their promotions for their respective single/album releases. While watching their performance backstage, JiYoon has been recorded dancing some parts of the song. HyunA has been shown on the camera too laughing on JiYoon's performance and then later on, shouted, "Nana unnie, I love you!"

Orange Caramel makes a daring promise with their fans

After School’s sub-unit, Orange Caramel (Raina, Nana, Lizzy), appeared on the recent episode of KBS Win Win, and during the segment with questions for a promise-keeping project, they were asked:

“If your fans were to support you guys on a music show while holding onto magic wands, how would you three reward them back?”

After pausing for thought, the girls decided to make a promise for their fans, announcing,”If fans cheer for us while holding onto magic wands, we will dance in the heart of the city of Myungdong wearing our Sailor Moon outfits and holding our wands.”

Super Junior's Repackaged Album is #1 in Hanteo Chart

Recently, Super Junior releases the version C of their 4th album "Bonamana". In this repackage album, 2 songs are composed by their very own Super Junior members. In the song "A Short Journey", Eunhyuk and Donghae composed the song in which if you hear it you can hardly hear Kangin's voice, in which Kangin will enter the army on the 5th of July. Another song is "All My Heart" which are composed by Leeteuk and SuJu-M's Henry in which studying at Berklee now.

Key East, “If Kim HyunJoong wishes to, we will support SS501 group activity”

The new agency to singer actor Kim HyunJoong voiced about the future plans to SS501, “We will support the decision of Kim HyunJoong.”

On KBS 2TV Entertainment Weekly aired on 3rd July, an official from Key East was featured for a phone interview. It was known that SS501 leader Kim HyunJoong has signed up with Key East previously on 29th June for an exclusive contract. SS501 previously came back with a new album last month but ended promotional activities for it after just 2 weeks. With Kim HyunJoong moving to a new agency, there has been great interests as to the future plans for the remaining 4 members.

The Key East rep commented, “Currently, Kim HyunJoong wishes to continue his group activities. We will support his decisions no matter what it is. Even if it is group activities, we will give him our full support.”

TVXQ group member Xiah Junsu was hospitalized in Los Angeles at around 10 PM on the 3rd.

Xiah Junsu had been suffering from a very high fever and fatigue since the afternoon. Staff members and company associates rushed him to the ER as his symptoms began to worsen. An associate of Xiah Junsu stated, “Xiah Junsu was hospitalized to a hospital in Koreatown in Los Angeles at around 10PM on the 3rd local time, or 2PM on the 4th of Korean time. Because it was the weekend, we tried over 20 hospitals before finally finding a hospital where he could receive proper treatment.”

Xiah Junsu has been busy with recording schedules, and as a result he continued getting a high fever and fatigue. At first, they didn’t think much of the situation because his symptoms were that of a common cold, but as the night went on, his symptoms worsened and he was then taken to the ER. When he reached the hospital, his fever reached over 40C. After receiving emergency care and some shots he has stabilized. This associate says, ” Xiah Junsu, plus the other 2 members are in America to record their album, and they have been pouring out their passion into the recordings. Thinking of meeting their fans after such a long time with their music, they became overenthusiastic and sang repeatedly without rest, and now their body has shown these signs of fatigue.”

The three members, including Xiah Junsu were hit hard with the shocking news of Park Yong Ha’s death. This associate said, “Hero Jaejoong was very close friends with Park Yong Ha, so the news gave him great mental shock and he was unable to even speak for awhile. All three members have been becoming more and more fatigued and even when staff members around them advised them to rest, they were concentrated in recording and in result their health has deteriorated to the point of finding the ER.”

The management side says that for Xiah Junsu’s treatment, they will take a 2 days rest.

Xiah Junsu, Micky Yoochun and Hero Jaejoong are currently in America recording with Kanye West, who has a great influence in pop music. Kanye West, who was born in 1977, has won 13 Grammy Awards and is a famous Rapper/Producer in America. He has produced music for the albums of Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and Janet Jackson. The three members of TVXQ are the first to work with a major pop artist and producer like Kanye West. Because of this, many people are looking forward to what kind of product is released from this collaboration.

Super Junior's MV was hacked? Yes, we received news this early morning that the comments under the video could not be viewed all of a sudden.



The hackers was believed to be aishiteru197 and weaboochan and they wrote 'they are all transvestites and crossdressers'. After those comments, other comments were not able to be viewed.

Well, although it was being hacked for a few hours, the problem was quickly fixed and the comments could be seen now. It was also known that these hackers go around to hack videos so please be careful and make sure, they don't input any virus into your computer.

Actor Park Yong-ha's demise sparks wave of suicides?

SEOUL : Just a day after popular Korean actor-singer Park Yong-ha hung himself, singer Roh Jin-woo from rock band Lazybone attempted to off himself by jumping into the Han river but survived when the police rescued him, reported Chinese media.

According to a police statement, Roh, 31, said he was "suffering from depression" and started having "suicidal thoughts" after hearing of the "Winter Sonata" actor's demise on June 30.

However, Roh's manager claimed that the singer was simply drunk at the time and accidentally fell into the river.

Roh may have survived this incident but a 40-year-old female owner of a Korean production house was not so lucky.

She apparently hung herself with a belt at home on July 1, leaving behind a suicide note that read "I am sorry mother!"

Another 49-year-old woman had also hung herself on that same day. After examining her suicide note, police have expressed that the woman, who was a fan of Park, may have taken her own life to follow her idol.

Park was the latest of a number of entertainers to kill themselves. They include top movie actress Lee Eun-Joo, who committed suicide in 2005, and Choi Jin-Sil who died in 2008.

Suicide is the highest cause of death among those in their twenties and thirties in South Korea, which in 2007 had the highest suicide rate among members of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The health ministry said 23.9 in every 100,000 South Koreans committed suicide in 2007, compared with 19.4 in Japan, 16.7 in Finland, 14.2 in France and 14.0 in Switzerland.

Orange Caramel has been receiving loads of attention lately with Heechul’s very own Peanut Caramel and 4minute’s Jiyoon dancing to some of the Magic Girl choreography.

Well, it looks like 2PM’s Taecyeon, MBLAQ’s Mir, and BEAST have also been taking part in the new popular craze. A BEAST fan that goes by the name of 龙燮吧.梁耀燮吧 posted some photoshopped pictures of Orange Caramel with faces of each BEAST member which have been spreading like wildfire. It looks like we now have a BEAST Caramel, and it suits them quite well!

Like most North Koreans, Son Jong Nam knew next to nothing about Christianity when he fled to neighboring China in 1998.

Eleven years later, he died back in North Korea in prison, reportedly tortured to death for trying to spread the Gospel in his native land, armed with 20 bibles and 10 cassette tapes of hymns. He was 50.

Dennis Oh in Hype Nation

Dennis Oh (whose full name is Dennis O’Neil) had been a part of dance-themed film project Hype Nation back in earlier casting days when it had starred singer Sohn Dam-bi. However, she has since dropped out and the film has brought onboard a new cast, so I’d figured everyone would be replaced. But now Dennis Oh has been confirmed for the project (again), and plays rival to its lead, played by ex-2PM leader Jay Park (aka Jaebum).

Jaebum plays a member of a b-boy group that goes up against an American group (B2K). Dennis’ character is named Tony Kane (Cane?) and basically harasses Jaebum’s character; he’s a gambler and member of a money-laundering operation.

Also cast is Japanese actor Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as gang boss, and taking a leading female role is T-ae, a member of the new kpop girl group Rania. The movie will be directed by Christian Strickland and has a production budget of 25 million dollars.

Hype Nation began filming on June 20 and is currently shooting in Korea. Dennis Oh, who has had small roles in U.S. drama series Forgotten and Melrose Place in the past year, will return to Korea in mid-July to join filming. This will be his first acting project in Korea since 2008’s East of Eden.

Frankly I am utterly uninterested in the movie, but I’ll be curious to see whether this American co-production will prove to be successful. As for Dennis himself… well, he seems like a super nice guy. And I did respect that he actually made a big effort to act in Witch Amusement entirely in Korean, which can’t have been easy for him. On the other hand, I’ve yet to find his acting passable in any of his roles; he’s extremely pretty, but incredibly wooden and out of sync when he acts; it’s like he forgets to be IN the moment and just works hard at delivering dialogue. Maybe he’ll do better in English-speaking roles?

Another upcoming project he’s got planned is the Chinese remake of Autumn Fairy Tale, in which he plays the character originated by Won Bin. Wait, WHAT? Now THAT is much more interesting news to me! Off to dig up more details...
