How bittersweet. Even though I was expecting it, it still hits hard. Hopefully this show isn't trash because I wanted them to go on produce 101 season because its consistent at creating legendary groups.

kinda sad and surprised because being Sistar's little brother group I would've thought they are not completely unknown. They are from a bigger company than most, but I guess Monsta X is getting the attention in the boy group department for Starship. I remember when they debuted and just amazed by their dancing skills... but hopefully they get a second chance on this show

This is sad to hear because I thought Boyfriend had a fanbase, but I guess since they have been over in Japan more then Korea, and Starship seems to be promoting MonstaX more, that they haven't gotten to where they should be. I love Boyfriends songs.

This whole Unit thing has me baffled is it different groups going up against each other, or are each person competing against everyone else, and the Unit at the end could have different members from different groups to form The Unit.

I keep wishing that there was a show (other then the music shows, that would showcase all of the lesser known groups so they could get their name out there and show what they have, maybe something where there are two or three groups on and they have them do the dance battles, vs singing, and rapping and other things so people could learn more about them).

I'm just glad it's better than the disbandment that I was expecting from Starship 😭 at least now they'll get another go at it. I feel like Donghyun might not participate since he has to enlist soon. Hopefully this recent album selling the highest numbers out of all their mini albums means that the fandom is ready to support.

man i remember back when they and b1a4 debuted around the same time and i always thought out of both groups they had the most potential to be fairly relevant (and i say this as a huge b1a4 fan). obvs a lot of that has to do with management and doesn't rlly say anything about the group themselves. just kind of reminds you how bad management can rlly fuck up promising groups. i wish them all the best.

Oh wow I didnt consider them as failed group since they seems making money in Japan..
But in SK, yeah.
But it's weird since imo they're not trying in SK, unlike other failed group who tried, but failed.

Starship kept sending them to japan??? It's no brainwer why they're losing their popularity. Just like nuest, people have move on from them and to monsta x. I feel bad for them..

From what I understand, they're all individual contestants who compete to be part of a 10 member final group (one girl group, one boy group) and they'll promote as the new group for 7 months (it was supposed to be 14 or something but companies complained and they shortened it). So one member of Boyfriend could make the final group or all of them (which I doubt the show would let happen)

This hit me hard because Boyfriend is the group that got me to Kpop and only heaven knows how much i love youngmin at one point in my life. I started buying their albums and suddenly they were shipped to Japan and I couldnt afford Japanese albums that were too expensive for a highschooler.

What happened to them? Starship should have enough money from Sistar to give them a few more promotions.....

They were promoting in Japan. They had more promotions there than in Korea.
