Police Start Investigating Choi Joon Hee And Grandmother Due To Abuse Allegations

Following the late Choi Jin Shil’s daughter Choi Joon Hee’s posts about her abusive maternal grandmother, the police have started an official investigation.

On August 7, Seoul Seocho Police Station revealed that they will start investigating Choi Joon Hee’s social media posts about her grandmother’s abuse towards her.

Previously, Choi Joon Hee posted about the abuse she has been enduring at the hands of her grandmother. Prior to her post, the police had been called due to Choi Joon Hee and her grandmother arguing and getting into a physical fight the night before her Facebook post.

Following her shocking post, Choi Joon Hee has continued to post about the abuse on her social media accounts. The police have revealed that after questioning Choi Joon Hee they will question her grandmother.

Reading comments on other sites made me so mad, people are so incredibly hard on her. Especially when they side with her grandmother because obviously the things she does/did are done out of love and therefor it is okay. I just can't with these people.

I really hope she gets the help she needs and is able to flourish somewhere out of the limelight and with people that genuinely care for her and put her well being first.

Don't go there, it's a toxic environment.
I hope the whole family get help, because what happened damaged everybody, kids lost parents and uncle and grandma lost both children and had to step in as a sole caregiver to her grandchildren, maybe she is way over her head dealing with teenager or maybe she is just shitty person, I don't know, I just really hope they will able get help.

I think you forgot the part where she was living with an aunt and everything was perfectly fine until the grandma forced her out and forbid her from seeing her ever again. The grandmother never had to get involved, never had to become the "sole caregiver." She chose to do so. She chose to do all that she did.

You right, I missed that part, I thought that she has good relationship with her great-aunt but actually she was raised by her until she was 11.
Weird that she was given to be raised to this women who is not blood related, and not so young herself since she is called great aunt (and I think her grandmother must be in her late sixties - early seventies), it must be her grandmother decision since as only living relative she must be the children legal guardian.

JFC poor girl's mental well being did not stand a chance. She endured her parent's very publicized divorce as a kid, both parents committed suicide and now grandma is violent... I am glad she is speaking up, very brave to bring awareness and ask for help. That means a part of her still wants to live and keep fighting.
